We never looked like a 92 point team last year.
Yet somehow we were.

The table suggests we’ve got the 3rd worst squad in the division, but I refuse to believe that.
Yes, some of the signings have been poor and the squad obviously isn’t as good as last season but we’re losing to teams with worse or similar quality squads as us. That’s on Wilder.
Board just appeased the thick minded wilder fan boys by bringing him back.
I’ve just watched the game with my good friends from COH, great people, some say the greatest people.
Anyway, I want to say that today’s result was stolen from us. Stolen by a team of people with sheep in their badges, THATS JUST WEIRD MAN. I bet they’re Biden supporters.
I like Christopher’s style, never accountable, always someone else’s fault. He’s clearly a genius just like me. He needs to replace sleepy Alan though, MAN THERE ARE MORE ANIMATED PEOPLE IN ARLINGTON CEMETERY THAN HIM!!!!!!!!!
I’ve decided to help Christopher out. I’m going to send the National Guard into Coventry for the next game. They’re too successful, I mean everyone calls them Frank Lampard’s Coventry!!!!!!! Egotistical NOT CLASSY!!!!!! You wouldn’t see that from me!!!! Hey Chavo more gold paint in here now or I’ll deport your ass!!!!
Anyway, I digress. There’s too much winning in Coventry, they’re stealing wins. My national guard will address this. The normal law abiding people of Coventry need fear nothing. Well
Things might get a bit more water cannony and a bit more shooty. But you can’t break the law without breaking a few eggs, I think that’s how the saying goes.
Anyway, go fuck yourselves, and God Bless Mar e Largo, it’s a beautiful place, everybody says so.
Hey Vance, don’t talk with your mouthful. Ahhh that’s better…

I was laughing so much I ended up posting 3 attempts to respond. The best ever post on here for certain.![]()
Honestly Nick Jansky I think we share similar viewpoints, but I think we have to take a ripping plaster approach. Do it now, What's the perfect time? If Wilder keeps us up, then there's the clamour to keep him. We have to change and can't keep going like thisA frankly stupid narrative seems to have developed amongst some since the summer that Wilder is the only manager we could attract that could possibly be successful with us. Obviously that isn’t the case, but if it was, what an extremely negative picture that paints of the club. It’s a loser’s view.
It was a mistake to bring him back on both occasions, but that’s on the respective owners who made those decisions. The day is coming, probably next summer, when we are going to have to finally move on from him. Until then, the club won’t move forwards. But I really feel for the next manager who will be on a hiding to nothing with a big chunk of the fans, no matter who it is.
You can say that again.I was laughing so much I ended up posting 3 attempts to respond.![]()
They certainly are, they bought back a fucking dinosaur of a manager who will end up leaving us exactly where he found us. Anyone who thinks otherwise is deluded.Board are absolutely fucking clueless.....
IK understand and respect your perspective. I should, of course, have said the quality had been depleted; I'm well aware we had a supermarket trolley dash at the end of the window. My perspective is that it was the CW sacking caused by the select group who just can't stand Wilder that has caused our current woes. The grass is not always greener.Given that the impact of Wilder's coaching today was Peck giving away a goal immediately after half time and Matos conceding a penalty seconds after being put on out of position and being easily skinned by their wing back, I'm not sure that's a great example of Wilder's coaching, unless his last words to them was go out there and fuck it up.
The squad isn't depleted, it'd bloated, too much dross for him to tinker with, especially in central midfield but the only player he signed is a central misfielder.
About the only thing the board appear to actually have got right was sacking Wilder. Failing to sack Bettis as well and not putting someone vaguely competent in charge instead was their big mistake.
M-SUGA - that's sweet.Lets make Sheffield United great again.
We need some footballers for Christmas not this load of crap
That would be stupid, yes, but it is not stupid to think he is the best manager for us at this time. That's not a loser's view, it's a perfectly reasonable view. I'm not suggesting I'm correct, but neither should others who present their views as if they are facts.A frankly stupid narrative seems to have developed amongst some since the summer that Wilder is the only manager we could attract that could possibly be successful with us. And not very good at defending.Problem.is simple. Nothing up front.
I know Cannon will come back at me (queue backfiring jokes), but I do think overall Wilders' purchases have been rather better over time than what seemed like a farce to me in the summer window. And I'm not sure I want wilder at the purse stings.
If we have a purse...
Could they afford to sack him and pay a new manager to come in.Wilder is probably set for life financially now, where as when he took over in 2016 he probably wouldnt have been.
He spends most of his spare time getting blavvered and has been on a downward spiral since March 2020.
He wont resign as hes getting paid lots of brass to do a piss poor job. They won't sack him cos they begged him to come back.
So like the country with Keir we are stuck for at least another 4 years.
So it’s the fault of those of us who had reservations?IK understand and respect your perspective. I should, of course, have said the quality had been depleted; I'm well aware we had a supermarket trolley dash at the end of the window. Going to hazard a guess you're in the thick minded wilder fan boy group then?As opposed to the thick minded Wilder out boys.
So the entire fan base must be thick because they either support Wilder or not.
Lets go QPR and try 21 different managers in 10 years.
How has that worked for them?
Lost 1.4 at home to Ipswich today.
Bettis stated that he will be here for this season. I can see the sense in that. I wouldn’t be letting him have money to buy players in January, but he should be able to do enough in the loan market to keep us up. I also think we’ll scrape enough wins in the next two months not to be adrift.Honestly Nick Jansky I think we share similar viewpoints, but I think we have to take a ripping plaster approach. Do it now, What's the perfect time? If Wilder keeps us up, then there's the clamour to keep him. We have to change and can't keep going like this
Spot on…..some of are old enough to have been present at some proper shit games……Swindon Town away in 1981 springs to my mind - hammered away 5-2 in our 3rd Division relegation season! The fickleness of some of our fan base is beyond belief ., fuck me if they’d seen us when we were really shit they’d be suicidal![]()
I agree with you. When Wilder first came he was a breath of fresh air. Completely revamped the squad, introduced some innovative tactics, moved out the dead wood and gave us some great times.Just listened to his post match interview. This is not the same person that took us from L1 strugglers to an EPL top half team.
He's too nice, too passive, too apologetic but most concerning of all he's totally delusional. He used to call it straight down the middle and would equally praise or call out players. This guy is a shell of his former self. He looked broken tonight, a man that doesn't seem to know where to turn next, someone that has no idea on how to correct this abysmal situation.
