The footballer had been living in Athens when he died on October 9 2024.

I'd heard he had a training regime that included holding his breath whist exercising, and he did this in his pool, but there's no mention of that.

Heard the same, you would have thought the heart condition would have been picked up somewhere during his time at either club. Still so hard to believe

Yes that's the part I don't understand you'd think a medical which he only had a few months before would have picked it up. Guess they don't look for it.

Maybe it's just something you have to learn to live with
I have pretty bad arythmia ,aside from cutting back on sugar ,alcohol and caffeine no one really cares or seems concerned

Me too jimmymuir. It's a fine and touching tribute to a wonderful man and footballer. Some great memories too and like others, I cant believe it's been a year since he passed away.
