He hadn’t played well for us for a long time, I felt he was a liability when he played.

He was great in the lead up to the last World Cup when he ended up missing it due to injury. That World cup was in winter 2022, so it's been a while since he was any "good".

I think a lot of fans see him as a youth prospect still. He's 26yo now with a grand total of 66 games played for us since his debut 4 years ago.

Compare his 66 games to players who made their debuts for us last season - Peck (57 games), Burrows (56), O'Hare (56), Cooper (54), Campbell (46)

Always felt RND could do a job at this level as a bog standard full back. I'd have said nowhere near the level for a team looking at promotion but we can't even pretend to be close to that at the moment 😑

I do miss his ability to be perpetually angry. We could probably have done with some of that but he needed a move away for his benefit. Hope he continues to do well. Seems a good lad and got thrown under the bus a bit early this season.
I think at the start of the season with the ambitions of promotion, that RND, quite rightly at the time, wouldn't have been in the picture and when he did play looked way off.

Now though, a bog standard full back is what we need but I don't think any of us quite expected to be in the mess we're in. Long term though, he's not the answer and is better off being elsewhere. Unless QPR want to pay money and keep him, a career in League One might be his best bet but hopefully not with us!

Made sense to loan him out, we only need two left backs and he wasn't proper cover at CB.

I watched the game last night and he played well besides a slip in the first half that let Oxford in behind for a chance they wasted. He's always looked best as a conventional LB in a back four, so we rarely saw the best of him at LCB/LWB/CB.

Finding out RND is 26 is like finding out Father Christmas isn’t real. I wasn’t ready for that piece of information

No idea how he's playing, but do we have the option to recall him in January if his form has picked up?

I don't think Burrows was that bad,Fellows was subbed off after not having much joy...i think Burrows dealt with him quite well.
Needs to do mre going the orher way,he put a great cross in first half but nobody got on the end of it.
Not sure i'd want RND back, but good luck to him,he's suffered with bad injury problems.

Not been at his best this season, but he's created more chances than Campbell, Barry, Ogbene and O'Hare combined this season. If the rest of our team had half his attacking output, we'd be top half of the table.
Taking corners probably helps with that stat, but it still surprises me. Against Southampton, he ended up letting Hamer take them from his side after a particularly bad one in the second half.

the f'king comments on the thread 💀
We send him away for confidence, game time and form. If I was him and read those I'd never come back.
The exact reason why pros shouldn't read anything on social media about themselves. Very little reasoned debate its either he 'absolutely shite' or 'he should be playing for England'.
