piroe would have been a good loan signing another striker very good in the championship but not quite good enough for the premier league

I'd genuinely rather have Cannon if it was a choice between him and Bamford. Bamford hasn't scored a league goal since April 2024. Any recent opinion of him as a semi-competent professional forward is based on his decent seasons in 19/20 and 20/21, both of which coincided with Covid-enforced empty stadia. Actually, come to think of it, he'd be a great signing for FC1990, assuming they could get him to agree to an 80% wage drop.

He's someone that I can see wilder signing because Bamford is tall, experienced and is very good at poo housery! I think our fans will like him to be honest. But fitness is his issue. He presumably had a pre season at Leeds though as weeks ago.
