It`s a no from me, even though he scored one of the best hatricks I`ve ever seen in an away game at Aston Villa.

Push Seriki up frontWe need a Mayenda type of striker.
He really worked hard and became a very good Championship striker. Not sure why he's hated by so many on here, banter with rivals/Wilder aside?I would as insurance for Ings.
I think the reason that he did'nt get much game time was because Piroe stayed fit and was scoring regularly. He really worked hard and became a very good Championship striker. Not sure why he's hated by so many on here, banter with rivals/Wilder aside?
Anyway I'm assuming his body isn't up to it anymore, so I'd be extremely wary about signing him. Leeds barely played him last season when fit and nobody has picked him up.
piroe would have been a good loan signing another striker very good in the championship but not quite good enough for the premier leagueI think the reason that he did'nt get much game time was because Piroe stayed fit and was scoring regularly.
One and Cannon not playing anymore? We only have Campbell/Ings
We all know Campbell is fucked after an hour.
Goals will be an issue
Can keep Ings company in the physio roomSeen an article today saying we're interested. Not surprised because wilder likes a bigger guy option.

Ordinarily it would be an emphatic no.
But we are desperately short up top.

I'd genuinely rather have Cannon if it was a choice between him and Bamford. Bamford hasn't scored a league goal since April 2024. Any recent opinion of him as a semi-competent professional forward is based on his decent seasons in 19/20 and 20/21, both of which coincided with Covid-enforced empty stadia. Actually, come to think of it, he'd be a great signing for FC1990, assuming they could get him to agree to an 80% wage drop.
Bamford's record at Leeds:
Champ 24/25: 17 apps, 0 goals
Champ 23/24: 33 apps, 8 goals
PL 22/23: 28 apps, 4 goals
PL 21/22: 9 apps, 2 goals
PL 20/21*: 38 apps, 17 goals
Champ 19/20*: 45 apps, 16 goals
Champ 18/19: 22 apps, 9 goals
*no fans for part of all of the season
Not at 70k a week he was on at weeds,Just been released by Leeds. Maybe he might be able to get back to his best with a fresh start - had a decent season in the PL under Bielsa but seemed to fall dramatically out of favour with the manager and fans.
Worth a punt?
If he's out of contract we can get him now I believe. Is he elligible on a free? Or do we have to wait until January?
You think Cannon is going to score more than the 8 goals in 2024?I'd genuinely rather have Cannon if it was a choice between him and Bamford. Bamford hasn't scored a league goal since April 2024.
