Come on then Wilder lovers

The people who have assembled this squad bear a lot of the responsibility. Wilder is certainly included in that.
Around half of the starting 11 and squad were brought in by Selles (or the owners or some poker player).
The one player that Wilder can be really criticised for is Cannon but beyond that the club has created a scenario almost perfectly designed for relegation.
Too many players, not enough ability, not enough character, daft wage bill and an almighty financial mess coming down the line.

This hasn’t just happened in the latest transfer window. The lack of CBs that needed to be addressed this summer and the lack of quality strikers has evolved over years. As has the quota of crocks that we always seem to accumulate. Who signed Shackleton and what was the point? Why does our squad lack pace? Why is there a shortage of leaders? Why don’t we have decent full backs if we are wedded to four at the back? This is what happens when managers are allowed too much say over transfers. Their interests are understandably short term and the squad reflects that. A strong DoF is definitely needed.

What an absolutely pathetic fucking thread.
Fortunately it'll disappear when I use the ignore button but I really can't be doing with this place anymore.
Used to be a laugh, now it's just fucking toxic.

Apparently the first line gives me an 89% toxic score and I should consider changing it. If I do it would only push it right up to 100.

Did I want him back ? Not particularly, but head said give him a chance to settle everything down maybe get us in a safe position ( short of a miracle we aren't getting promotion) until the board can bring in a decent replacement. (Maybe that's the case and its part of the agreement why he's back ) But yesterday showed how much the heart has gone out of this squad ,plus Chris's stubborn tactics and selection.
Godfrey should not be first choice RB
Peck needs dropping
Cannon is another example of a waste of 10m

Personally I'd try and 3-4-2-1
Tanganga, Mee, Mcguiness
Seriki, Matos, Soumare, Burrows
Hamer, Ogbene
Campbell

Unless anyone is looking forward to another 6 seasons in league one

These Wilder threads can be very odd.

On one hand, some people are very clearly sentimental about Wilder, nostalgic about when we played good football and shocked the country. Nothing wrong with that on its own, but it gets to a point, in some people, where it genuinely seems like they support Wilder more than they support the club. On the other, there are people who seem to revel in Wilder's (and by extension United's) failure, because they have a genuine dislike for Wilder on a personal level.

When these two sets of fans interact, it quickly becomes toxic. I'm certainly not suggesting that everyone is like this, there are very thoughtful posts on these threads, but they descend into slinging matches very often.

For one thing, I hope Wilder can turn it around, for the sake of the club.
I have made my opinion on Wilder known, but no way do I want United to lose just so I can prove i was right.
I did go yesterday but admittedly didn’t applaud Wilder and didn't join in the he's one of our own. I also left when Charlton scored, I just couldn't cope with him slapping the badge at full time (tongue in cheek comment).
But I 100% didn't go yesterday hoping United would lose i would never do that.
Infact I actually went expecting United to win given the opposition not being the best and the reaction to Wilders return in the inside training video.
Yes I have made a few comments about the result yesterday but again they are more sarcastic comments aimed at the Wilder (Blue Oyster Club) members.

Jesus, some reyt wet fannies inhabit this forum. I really hope that fans of other clubs don't look on here and think that this place represents proper Blades. I'd be embarrassed to call myself a Blade if I were some of you lot. Jimmy Ramble not wrong really, is he?

Is he the one that spat his dummy and called people names? Seems like he’s part of the same problem you talk about…. 😂

I was referring more to the person who started a thread called "Come on then Wilder lovers" right after we conceded, clearly looking to revel in his (our) loss. People are entitled to their opinions, I certainly have mine, but I think these threads promote toxic infighting (and it goes beyond simply being pro-Wilder or anti-Wilder, I've seen these threads get personal) among the fan base when infighting and bickering is the last thing we need right now.

Pretty sure that was the bloke that distastefully did a Livestream right after Baldock passed, trying to profit off the situation, then got mad when some on the forum called him out for it.

He said this forum is a cesspit (I think, or words to that effect). I don't think he's calling anyone names as such, just making an observational comment on a lot of the numpties who inhabit it. The same conclusion as I've come to after reading some of the threads on here this morning.

Ah ok. Not sure there’s much difference though, when you’re on here trying to have a dig at folk and call them wet fannies and numpties 😂

lol. It’s just football. Don’t take things so serious.

Perfect irony… he must have known you also frequent this forum then when he said that 😉
I don't think we're on the same wavelength, SwissBlade. I'm on about the folk who couldn't wait to come on here and slag Wilder and the team off. Look at the time of the first post for a start. I get the feeling that whoever wrote that, cheered as loudly as the Charlton fans when they scored. If you still see it as irony, then fair enough, crack on.

You’re right, we’re not. 😂

There is a particular irony that you’ve come on here to slag forum users off generally and name check, presumably your buddy that seems to be a bit of the same
