If it is Wilder, based on points still available this term there are 123 left (41 x 3). Looking at points as a percentage of what was available for Wilder as our manager excluding the premiership including L1 he gets just over 63%. in the championship alone it's 60% and last year it was 68%( including play offs). so points would be between 74 up to possibly 83/84 if we perform like we did last season. That would put us right in the mix for play offs. I would say we get around 78 points. What's your thoughts?

Need to start winning first before any real predictions of points or positions can be looked at.
Autos are deffo out though. We would have to go on a Burnley esque run and only lose 2 or 3 more times. But also not draw too often for that.

Were effectively playing a 41 game season. Playoffs are always possible if your not far off them or in them with about 10 games to go. That's the joy of them. Although we are yet to experience said joy.

20, and relegation. After a 23player turnover in 2 months, then changing the manager, to one who thinks he knows the squad, when it's impossible. The confidence is shot, and the players have to build an affinity with a caustic character.

92.

Now he’s had a sighter of this division with no Leeds or Burnley, we’re gonna go on a massive run and put the rest of these shitbags to the sword.

I reckon with Ogbene and Hamer and then a combination of O’Hare, Chong or Ings playing worh Campbell well start to murder teams and get some momentum.

YHIHF

It’s going to be so underwhelming when it’s Mowbray! 🤣

Frankly as long as we don`t get relegated, the season is effectively over.

Yeah we can make the playoffs - but we all know how that would end so I certainly won`t be celebrating if we make them, win the semi final, or indeed score to make it 5-0 in the final with 10 mins left - because we know how it would end,

I agree. I'll be happy with mid table after this monumental shitshow.

That being said, I'm fucking annoyed we've effectively written off our last parachute payment season because some tech bros had some left field ideas.

Oh, I still expect us to at least make a tilt at getting a PO place. I wont be happy in general if we are sat around 10-14th for most of the season.

I'm just very realistic about what making the playoffs would actually mean...

Well, sometime our PO luck has to change..

I think the players will be do demoralised by this start that even getting them to.mid table standard will be an achievement. Hope I'm wrong!

I’m glad you corrected yourself there, I was about to say… ‘Joy’ of the playoffs???!!

I think around 60-65 and hopefully the top end of that might get us 5th/6th. But with the league probably more condensed this season I doubt that would be enough.
Anything more than that is bordering on miraculous I think given the circumstances now.
Personally I am happy to enjoy the ride and hopefully see us winning more than we lose now. Thoughts of anything above top 10 will probably only kick in for me after Xmas.
It will then depend on what transfer window we have.

Who knows we could be the team that breaks into the playoffs with the momentum and carry the energy to the final..

Maybe we could be the underdogs and crash the party for once..

The squad we have is capable of getting 70-75 even from this standing start. But if we play like we did the second half of last season it will be less than that. I hope Wilder has learned some of the lessons of last season.

Still think Autos is a possibility. There is no standout team in this league. In fact, had we not got rid of Wilder, then the standout team would have been us

Has to be a minimum of 80 points surely? That’s what we were promised if wilder hadn’t been sacked.

Last year Coventry had 5 points after 7 games and made it into the playoffs with 69 points. I think it’s possible but we need a couple of wins fast.

The season's a write off in terms of the main objective.

If he can get us top half from here, then fair play.
The owners mentioning promotion in their 'welcome back' statement for Wilder was a bit much.
That shouldn't be their expectation after the mess they created.

We'd need a rapid turnaround to consistent promotion form, but in what could be an open division this season, we're only 6 points behind one of the favourites for autos. If Boro / Stoke etc's early form doesn't continue then the 13 point start may not be like giving Leeds that sort of start last season.
