The carnage caused by Selles.

Brilliantly debated, opinion put across fantastically.

It’s a very valid point that we were left short and once again, started the season/first few games with fewer options than we should have had available.

It’s far from “absolute crap” that we should have planned and executed certain recruitment before it eventually happened.

Whether or not you like Selles.
It would be valid if Selles has a history of inspiring a promotion charge.... but to do that you have to muster more than 1 shot per game, weve never looked so incapable of scoring. The only 2 goals scored by the 2 men he dropped...hes clueless

Can't say I'm rubbing my hands with glee that Wilder might be coming back but I'd certainly be accepting of him being the replacement compared to the dope we've got in charge at the moment.

In the situation we're in with the squad we've got, he's bound to get more of a tune out of them than Selles has with the first thing to fix being the defence again. A scrappy 1-0 gets the cogs starting to turn, we just dont want those every week if the opportunity is there to give someone shit a good hiding, like Ipswich did to us.

The only thing I'll have in Selles' favour is that he called the owners out on the lack of signings and he got them. Still managed to balls it up but at least we've got, in theory, a squad that should be competitive, it's not a no hope Wednesday situation.

If the owners are here for the long haul, let this be a huge baptism of fire for them.

I cannot believe we haven’t had a statement to say he’s been removed with immediate affect.

Unfortunately not only do we have an incompetent manager we seem to have incompetent owners …

It’s the perfect storm only heading one way I’m afraid ….

I had hoped this was the dawning of a new era but once again Sheffield United have managed to fuck it up…
Roll on Lincoln away... some great pubs😊

Yes I do, although not sure what Thibk.yiu means. Sorry I forgot humor was frowned upon, what the Thibk.yiu was I thinking
It means think
I probably pressed the wrong button on my phone , I'd guess at the 'b' button
Same with the yiu that should have been a letter 'o' then it would have said you
The sentence would have then said ' think you know what it means. '

I knew what it meant, just being a butt, ass, arse . Couldn't resist. On along drive home, getting overly bored. Sorry

Apologies but I now have a problem with the word ‘situation’. Every time I see or hear it I’m reminded of the utter shite that comes out of Selles’ mouth whenever he is interviewed…I’m scarred but can live with it as long as COH put him and us out of our misery…and quick

I think the board have let Selles down, if the players signed in August came in June and had preseason with us we could well have had a different start to season.

They gave him a decent squad, 2 weeks to work with them, and we collapsed 5-0 - that’s squarely on Selles

Wouldn’t have got all the players we did in June - some been assessed by their club before deciding to let them go

Lovey fella, but out of his depth at (what should be) a top end championship club

He's had 5 games
He's failed he's been sacked
What do you want a public execution?
There is a growing lack of distrust from the supporters towards the owners.

A quick and decisive statement that contains the underlying message “we’ve listened , we’ve heard and we’ve acted” would go a long way to settling that and helping improve the mood.

Sellles seems a lovely bloke, the kind that you’d ask to put your bins out when you went on holiday. The trouble is, he’d put the wrong one out on the wrong day. Time to put him out of his misery.
And he’d play it up top…

Whoever comes in has an almighty task of turning us around. Good players gone and replaced mostly by players probably only good enough for league 1 or 2.
How can you work with that?
How do you change it?
Good luck to Chris or whoever takes over as it's not going to be easy.
The players we’ve brought in are not league 1/2 players at all.

Tenganga is a good player we all wanted him here and was excellent vs Boro

McGuinness has a good pedigree & will suit Wilder if he returns.

Ings & Mee seasoned pros & not been out of the prem for years

Barry & Bindon - good league one players yes. That’s the ones you can argue

Godfrey - not a right back & would suit a back 3. He’s a player if we’re organised

Matos - I think he’ll do well, if we’re not playing ping pong football fans will love him.

Chong & Ogbene - stand out players in the premiership for Luton two season ago, need to regain confidence

Soumare - shows the odd bit of good stuff but needs coaching

I’m not saying Wilder/ Rohl/ Dyche/ Carrick etc are walking into a team of superstars, but we’ve not got a bad championship squad at all.

Thibk.yiu know full well what he means
He has a valid point ,we started against the robins with Rhys norrington Davies and bindon
Only because the fookin idiot thought both were better options than Robinson.....

He then compounded that error by picking one in midfield.

All this quasi-intellectual naval gazing apologizing, trying to appear contrarian because you listened to a podcast is hilarious. But but the board let him down. But but but he didn't have the players....

Bollocks. He had the players, he chose to coach them badly and set them up tactically poorly, and this is a direct result of his inability to do his job. Nothing more, nothing less.
