Selles sacked

I think the fans at Reading would disagree with your conclusion.
These owners have appointed him and have now given him the tools to perform, so they are likely to judge on how he is with this squad before they decide there may be someone better.
 
I could see them telling him in no uncertain terms that he needs to get results and fast, and that there needs to be a big improvement in the standard of play on the pitch.

I still want him out because they have simply not performed for 5 games, but..... i would still be happy if he was to make the biggest comeback since Lazarus. If hes given the Ipswich match then after nearly 2 weeks training with the squad, with another couple through the door today and maybe Mee still to sign, then hes running out of excuses if it doesn't improve pronto.

Exactly what I was thinking. He's out if that's the remit to save his job! I'd be 50/50 predicting if we could beat Charlton at home. Just get rid now!

If he'd done better and kept things tight for example and the shape was good then I could be more positive but we've looked so fragile and open it's untrue.

How the hell you can say this I do not know.

We have set up so badly in every single match, he didn't have the credentials to warrant being our manager and he has certainly done FA to disprove it.

Trying to play Cannon and One on the wings, leaving Peck on his own in midfield time after time - these are mind blowingly bad decisions.

Sorry he's shown his hand and it's obvious he's clueless , cut the cord immediately please.
 
He now has more players which apparently suit his system, the problem is that the players do not buy into it because no matter who he plays the “ system “ will not work.
He now has sufficient centre backs and central midfield ball winners to play either three at the back or two central midfield players to protect the back four. If he changes to this he may have a chance if he doesn’t and past experience indicates he will stay as is, then he is out of the door, subsequently we will know as soon as he hands in the team sheet, we do not need to wait for the result.

I am not sure that these owners will be keen to make a hasty decision costing millions when they have only just given him the backing that he should have had some weeks ago.

I don't see what Carrick has done that people or our board would want him. I know we won't go for Challinor but his record surpasses anyone we'll likely be linked with but it's highly unlikely he'll get back it because the board would not doubt like a higher profile candidate like Gary O'Neil who I definitely don't want after how it ended at wolves.

Don’t have any conviction he’ll turn things around but that is short sighted

Coutts / Freeman / basham all went from being boo boys to heros. He wins the next 5 in a row fans will be back on side.

He’s at least got a more complete squad now - and no excuses left.

He's not gonna win 5 on the bounce we all know this. Even if we somehow win at ipswich then anything but a win in the next 2 games the pressure is straight back on him. These 5 losses have dug him a deep hole he just can not get out of.
 
If he is getting another chance then what happens if he gets a proper performance out of the team but we still lose. Just get rid now
