Think I am right in saying we made ourselves safe from the drop last night.

Considering where we were 3 months ago this coupled with the cup semi, operating with no real striker of note is quite some achievement.

Well done blades.

We are staying up, say we are staying up!
In some ways its embarrassing but considering where we were its an achievement.

8pts behind Peterborough with 12 to play for and a game in hand.

It, as they say, is on.......

Taking into account how low we all were after getting thumped by Crewe to go bottom of the table on February 1st, it's just utterly remarkable that 2 and a bit months later we're potentially within 5 points of the play-offs.

When you consider where we were, finishing anywhere out of the bottom 4 this season will be an achievement. Well done Blades.

We were safe before last night as other teams had to play each other.

We were safe after last Saturday. Whoever was fourth bottom could still catch us, but fifth bottom couldn't have having played a game more (I forget which teams it was).

The last 10 weeks have been remarkable after what came before.

Haha, we need them to lose 2 of their final 3 games, Swindon also to slip up and to win all our games. It's, as they say, over.

Well, Peterborough and swindon both have challenging games on the final day.

If we lose on monday then i will concede that the game is up, but the fat lady has not started singing just yet :)

Our chances of getting in the play offs are probably around 0.5%

Worth a score I think.

I had my only two ever bets in my life in our PL season when we played Arsenal and Chelsea away. For each game I bet £1 we would win 1-0 with Hulse scoring. I got odds of over 100-1

If we win on Monday and next Friday, and Peterborough lose on Monday, we'll be just 2 points behind with two to play.

I think that'll be enough to cause Peterborough to brick it.

I always work on a basis if you are more points behind than there are games left in the season you shouldn't put money on it. It's incredible we are where we are given the situation in January. If we win our remaining games it will be some achievement. If Peterborough then cock it up then that's fantastic. But ultimately not likely.

I can't believe I've gone back to the fixtures to look at this. A very thin chance but here's how we could do it courtesy of a Posh cock-up and Swindon failing to spozz their way through.

United would need to win all 4 games to get 71 points.

Tranmere Away Mon 21 Apr
Port Vale Away Fri 25 Apr
Oldham Away Tue 29 Apr
Coventry Home Sat 3 May

Peterborough lose 2 of their 3 games and finish on 70 points (they could win one, draw one lose one but they are likely to have a better goal difference if they get 71 points)

Carlisle Home Mon 21 Apr
Shrewsbury Away Sat 26 Apr
Port Vale Home Sat 3 May

Swindon would need to win all 3 games to get 72 points (they can't get 71 points)

Bradford Home Mon 21 Apr
Notts County Away Sat 26 Apr
Rotherham Home Sat 3 May

Chances are very slim obviously. Any slip on our part and there's no chance.

All this talk about play offs still?imagine how many we would take if we got to the final at wembley again ,after all the shenanigans and talk of people not going again until they do something about it malarkey.Oh and by the way,im not condoning that behaviour,im simply stating that it would be outrageous to not support your team just because of the complete bellends we had there on that unbelievable blades day out
