Mother of god that was appalling. If ever a moment was a like a finger print to tell you that someone is categorically sub standard then that’s as good as any

There’s ‘mistakes’ and then there’s just complete lack of ability, it’s the kind of moment that makes you wonder ‘what other basics and simple moments are you capable of screwing up?’

I can’t believe how poor that was, wasn’t even a great ball or a lightning fast striker on the end of it. Even Robbo would’ve done better on that and I can’t wait to see the back of Robbo cus I think he’s always been crap

That was atrocious

Thing is, he watched Tanganga go to close a gap/press someone with the defender running behind him, not once did he come across to close to gap & or Mark him or did he let Tanganga know there was a player behind him. Just stood and watched it happen, absolute junior football.

You wouldnt mind as much of he had a bit of recovery pace, which I've seen milk turn quicker. Cut our losses pay the fee and send him back, bring in somone else in.

If I was Tanganga i’d have chinned him in the tunnel afterwords. Wasn’t just the goal. Collapsed like a pack of cards everytime they went forward. He’s too young and inexperienced to be in this situation. Zetterstrom is our player, develop him over one of Maranakis’s dirty purchases.

I think Conways has decent pace. There were contrasting reports regarding Bindon's pace before he signed, but it's clearly not a strength of his. When he plays next to Burrows, it means we have two slow defenders to the left of our defence, and the mediocre defensive attributes of LCM Hamer and LW Barry doesn't help too much.

There were more issues to our defending that Bindon being outpaced though. Posted it elsewhere to, but note how Peck has two players to deal with, and how this creates a big problem for us:

Bindon is woeful.

Championship is a level too high for him. If he plays the season as our CB we may well get relegated

Too slow for Selles-ball. Stick him in the middle of a back 3 and he'd probably look comfortable.

The really annoying thing was that Boro weren’t that good. A better manager gets a result.

A lot of our problems stem from midfield one of Hamer or O'Hare has to be taken out of the team, soft as shit those two. Both gave the ball away constantly.

I agree, but that's all over the team. Brooks constantly lost possession, Peck's poor control should've earnt him a red card in the first half, Barry isolated, Campbell, isolated. The only real chance we had in the first half was due to a shocking pass by one of their players. I could go on

I think it was Alan Hansen who said playing CB is all about partnerships. Selling Anel meant that all the pre-season work building such a partnership was completely wasted. We have to start again now with Tanganga & Bindon (or Mee).
That said, Bindon should have done better for Boro's goal - he didn't get across fast enough.

If we sign Mee, then this lad will be on the bench most of the time and can learn his trade alongside better experienced colleagues in training. Our first team isnt where we want him to be right now as hes way too raw and like a deer in the headlights at times.

It wasn't a lack of pace by Bindon, it was a complete failure to understand what was happening. As an ex centre half I could see it coming as soon as the ball left Targetts foot. Tanganga was moving across in case Targett ran with it and behind him, Bindon had the relatively simple task of tracking his man. Piss poor giving him that yard but to be honest, I thought Cooper went down almost in slow motion so he wasn't blameless either. Another really poor goal to give away and when you're playing as poorly as we are, gifting the other team at least a goal a game doesn't do us any favours at all.

UTBFTP 👊👊👊

Bindons too soft, comes across as a lovely chap, and that’s how he plays - imagine Billy whitehurst coming up against him😂

Impressed with tanganga

Back 4 of
Godfrey - mee - tanganga - burrows

Weak link there is burrows, who’d have thought that would happen 3 months ago

Look, Selles certainly isn’t covering himself in glory here. But we also have to question some of the mardy little cunts who have decided they don’t like what the coach is trying do. Their half hearted approach is there for all to see…I think Burrows is one of them.

I thought Cooper should have done better to stop it, his feet were all over the place.
Don’t like to blame Cooper but was very similar to PO final. Seemed to flop slowly to ground on both occasions - leaving us saying ‘how the fuck has that gone in’.

Bindons a kid in a proper mans position - hopefully Mee signs an Bindon gets time to develop.

Something lacking with Bindon. He comes across as not fully committed

Might be doing him an injustice but just comes across that way to me
I’m not sure about that. Forest obviously want to keep him, (thank fuck) so this could be the perfect opportunity to cement himself further into their plans

Is Bindon now the scapegoat player??

Conway went between both Tanganga and Bindon. In fact Tanganga was closer from the offset.

Saying Tanganga was going across to close Targett down just isnt right, Godfrey was closest to him to do that.

It was a decent goal, Bindon shouldn't be in the stocks for this.

No it was appalling, Bindon was the player with by far the better chance of getting across to Conway and he completely failed to read the danger
