Selles sacked

I kinda don't want to see him get sacked so early. But even with the tools he started the season with it's clear that it just doesn't work. I'd not be unhappy to see him go.
But I'd want the new manager to be a sound choice. I'd take wilder back but that ain't happening, it would make them look foolish wouldn't it. But Cooper, Dyche even Rohl yeah I'd be ok with that.

Yet again another game where we look very un threatening on the whole. Defensively open again. Tanganga a bright spark, but even he can't do it all himself which is why we lost.
Hamer not getting enough of the ball in areas you want him too. Campbell very isolated.

I reckon I've seen two halves of footy so far I was sort of pleased with Bristol 1st half. And Millwall 2nd half. In both of those we created and missed chances. Scored 1. Outside of this we have been very very toothless.
 
I’m torn because he’s quite clearly getting fuck all from a fairly talented squad. And Seems to be too stubborn to change anything.

It feels like a sliding doors moment but the board gave him 1/2 a squad for the first few games and the 4-1 defeat feels like it could have gone the other way with a competent defence….. Then he’s fighting an uphill battle to get the fans on side and the players to buy in. He needed to start fast but didn’t and now no one is buying what he’s selling.

Bottom line though is he’s not addressed any of the weaknesses in the system . He’s Playing player out of position, a midfield which isn’t balanced and ignoring obvious solutions to that and as a result we can’t buy a result a goal and barely even a chance.

Feels like he’s done. But no one has covered themselves in glory, not COH, Not Selles and certainly not the players.

Would you like Challinor to be appointed if Selles goes? I know the board won't go for Challinor but I'm just interested as I see you're in Stockport
 

I would imagine that the board must be considering his position at least and sounding out who might be a replacement because you dont go from 3rd to 24th and not ask questions. It's not like we're playing ok and we can see improvement. Persisting with the 433 is not working nor his midfield choices. Hamer wasted too deep, no midfield bite, Barry too one dimensional, no service for Campbell, all last seasons good players bar those sold are playing much worse under Selles. I could go on but I've covered most of it id guess.

The issue on top of everything else I have is he changed the system late and we were better. But was that because Boro had just settled for it?

I've not seen today Paidsy only other games but I've seen enough now to know it's not working and I don't think he could complain if he was sacked next week. I think we'll sign a few more players and then maybe he leaves next week at some point.
 
As long as there is definitely no compensation to be paid anymore …. I think COH will go for Rohl as next manager. The fact that Selles has been such a disaster - probably actually makes him more attractive to them. I also suspect Rohl will fancy this challenge.

I would like him.ambitious owners at county and heard him speak and he adapts to each club he’s been at.downside is he’s just signed a 3 year deal

We've lost 2 since and today was a 'sack me' performance
The same source who told me Robbo was leaving after Millwall, which I posted last Saturday, messaged me tonight to say he expects Selles to be relieved of his duties 'within 48 hours'
Lets see how it pans out
