All started by a pointless foul in the corner by King of the stupid needless foul Hamer. Pushed their guy over when the ball was aimlessly cleared to us to rebuild.

I can understand the frustration when we cant buy a free kick yet get booked every time Boro go down.

Peck's tackle was worthy of a booking, but so was Ayling's. Not quite on the same level but both bookings, yet we didn't even get a free kick.

Excellent refereeing. Took his time, assessed the damage to their player, saw there wasn't any and rightly gave Sydie a yellow card. No need for dramatics, didn't ruin the game and for once I'm praising the ref.

As to the rest well I'd rather we get stuck in than lay down and die, like last week. Can't win with some of you lot though can we? Come on lads, second half just roll over, it'll probably cost us but at least we'll not look like a bunch of naughty boys.

You don’t have to physically damage an opponent to receive a red card.

Glad it was a yellow for Peck, but would have no complaints if it had been a red.

Obviously the poor discipline has not been addressed from last season, Mmmm wonder if we will rack up anywhere near the £445,000 we managed to accrue in fines.
Last time we were hyped up and seeing red, now the players are just acting out of frustration from bad service or bad first touches

Peck should have been a red, not even a question for me. We got very lucky.
Anyone trying to claim that wasn't a red....well

Says it all when four ex pros all unanimously agree it was a shocker and he should have been off.

Could easily have caused a Basham type injury.

Sorry that's utter nonsense.

Could have caused serious ankle or lower leg damage.

You don't downgrade to yellow because he got lucky. No dramatics at all.

So he didn't cause any physical damage, he could have caused an injury but didn't. Fuck me, let's stop tackling all together just to keep everyone safe.

So if a player punches another but doesn't knock him down or break his nose, it's only a yellow is it?

Certainly could have been a red, but it's far from the worst tackle to have ever been given a yellow. Basham broke his leg turning on his own so not sure how that's in any way comparable to Peck's challenge

Another silly yellow for Gus, his third of the season.

Soz fellas but my patience has gone. Yes, we took the risk now we’re failing fast.

…12 points behind a bang average Boro side….He’s got to go.

Difference is, tackling's part of the game, punching isn't so that's a pretty lame comparison.
Are you seriously this dense?

Dangerous tackles earn red cards. I'm sure you're familiar with the term leg breaker.

Whether it's mis-timed or not, it's a straight legged off the ground studs showing out of control lunge that could have caused serious damage a la Basham.

Those tackles have usually been reds for decades.

Your defence is that Silvera was dramatic and because he wasn't badly injured, it shouldn't be a red 😁

You call other people dense but keep bringing up Basham which had absolutely nothing to do with a bad tackle

Basham's was a non contact injury you fucking balloon. Where did I say Silvera was dramatic? I didn't so stop crying, stop making shit up and get back to slagging our players off, you appear to like that 👍

If that foot had been planted……

If you've actually seen replays of today's tackle, you'll have seen the movement at the bottom of Silvera's leg was similar to Basham's, impact or not.

You're the one who stated dramatic in your post.

And as for slagging players off 😆 I've had criticism for preaching patience and telling people to stop getting on their backs.

It's about the potential injury he could have caused.

His argument being that he wasn't hurt so it shouldn't be a red.

Silvera's foot and leg was moving the same way as Basham's but thankfully didn't go as far.
