Those that want Wilder back.

Whether we get Wilder back in a few weeks/months is not the issue at present. It was a sacking that was risky and in my view unnecessary. However if we'd appointed someone more proven I could have understood.

I'd seriously be considering Rohl if Selles goes. My choice was and remains Dave Challinor from Stockport who I think has done enough in his management career to merit a big job. Unlike Selles or Gary O'Neil who are both unproven and were the board's choices.

If Selles goes I'd definitely be considering a Wilder return saying all that because he knows how to win football matches and the players know him and I think would welcome him to return. The players at present dont look to be playing for Selles, which never looked the case under Wilder.

What's most frustrating for me us that this situation is entirely of the boards doing. If this was baseball and I'd bought a baseball team I'd not sack a manager who has just done really well unless there was someone else I thought was better. Did the board think Selles was better or more likely they wanted someone who they thought could fit into their data driven system more because the board think that's the way forward. It's going to be a waste of season if we carry in much longer like this.

If our are really as rubbish as some of you believe and can't cope with a change of manager, I'd prefer Hecky to Wilder. Just until Sharp is ready to take over of course.

What, by giving him £23m for Brewster?
Apologies it's early.

We got relegated. It will happen. Guess what...it was singlehandedly down to him we were EVER in the position to spend that money and last season we would have gone up in most years. That is ALL we need to be focussing on. Promotion. And yet we look miles off it. We need a guy who has a great track record in the championship not the premier league. Promotion sets you up for at least two years. Not going up means you become a Norwich.

This is the key point here. If Peck, for example, can only play for Wilder, then his Premier League ambitions are a pipe dream. Up and at them badge thumping managers are a rarity up there. The players need to be able to adapt to different management styles.
