Plan A & Plan B

The players appear not even be able to enact plan A - the simple ability to pass, move, put effort in and do the basics.

Right now it appears that any tactical discussions will fall on deaf ears because they've simply gone missing.

Willingly, deliberately so and it appears a joint decision.

Bunch of quitters since 'Captain connection' got pushed.

Time they grew up a bit and realised that your boss won't always be your mate and the cosy boys club doesn't last forever.

Absolutely bang-on ...
The cosy boys club can't last forever.
Each player is responsible for his own career.
Quitting the fight and playing like a dick just coz the change of manager has upset you is only going to hurt your own prospects in a short career.
Madness to do this.
But that's modern footballers for you , mainly pampered pricks across the whole game.
So much so that the ones who stand up to be counted stand out from the rest

No it wasn't it was about Rohl no mention of Wednesday in the song.
Where did Wilder take alot worse from a fellow Manager ?

I would like a manager that gets the job done and celebrates at the end of the season, not slapping the badge on a Tuesday night in November.

How ever way you look at it he failed.
There are no prizes for almost.
Exactly 5min he's been in charge surely any manager even Megson needs longer than 2 games.
Also you never answered my question if Wilder had stayed and lost the first two league games and got knocked out of the cup would you be calling for change ?

I think we have a strange fan base that cannot see United without Wilder. He's gone hopefully for good get over it.
Danny Rohl is a big boy I’m sure he can handle it. Wilder has gotten the job done many times at this football club, so if you’re wanting a manager who gets the job done then he’s the man. Even the best managers in the world fail, but he’s got a proven track record of success. Without him, there’s a chance we’re still in League 1. 11th in League 1 -> 11th in Prem in 3 seasons in case you’ve forgotten.

Yeah he failed, but Farke ‘failed’ at Leeds and what did they do? Not make many changes and not lose many players and build. It’s really not rocket science.

I never answered that question… because you never asked that question 🤷

It’s not strange to not want the most successful manager ever In the modern era for our club to not be at the helm. I’d say it’s pretty normal. What’s not normal is the bitter obsession to want everyone else to not like wilder. If you don’t like him, fine, but don’t get on others backs for sticking up for him.

So to all the people desperate to evict Selles (plan A) after 2 games, who the hell is your miracle replacement (plan B) with the players we have and the board we have?
Answers on a very tiny postcard please !
Silky its like i said on another post, it doesn't matter who replaces Sellers ect we won't be no better off if the board don't start replacing the 1st team players that have gone and also some of the loanees from last season COH must back the manager

Frank Lampard, sh!ts and giggles with Coventry fans alone would be worth it

There is no plan B. Knee-jerkers be like...

One of the problems I've got so far is Selles told us we would be playing on the front foot and with a high press. At Swansea we never got off the back foot, not a shot on target and we didnt press high as a team. If hes changed his strategy after one league game that's worrying. After Bristol City he may have realised he doesn't have the players to play his system but he should have known that from pre season.

Anyway i think we have to give him time to embed his system once hes got some of his players in.

How about the bloke they wrongfully sacked?

One of the owners was supposedly successful due to the failing fast approach.

Well it was a failed move to get rid of the previous manager and he’s now seeing the disastrous results of it.

If they don’t double down and give Selles the players he needs, not before the window ends, but before the next match, he’ll be a dead man walking.
Two league matches without the necessary tools.

I wouldn't have appointed Selles in the 1st place, but suggesting getting rid after two league games is madness.
It's a poor start to the season but the main blame falls on the owners for their recruitment strategy, Selles was their 1st mistake and that's been compounded ever since.
Indecision, dithering, poor choices then panic.
Selles needs backing in the market and then at least 10 games after that before any kind of decision is made on his future.

Excellent post, totally constructive.
Ps/ Selles said he would be buying quality, not quantity. Unfortunately neither is happening !

Yeah but on Friday he was saying that we'd dropped a bollock in recruiting so we'd have to adapt. Not sure any of us expected that would mean not bothering to attack and then still being a bit leaky at the back too.... but we live and learn

Who are all these people 'desparate' to evict Selles?

I've seen plenty of people who are concerned about recruitment but not a single person calling for Selles to be sacked.
