My daughter's coming with me to Wembley, she hasn't been since the Burnley playoff final in 2009 after having been a season ticket holder a few years ago. She doesn't qualify as a true fan, I guess, and is probably what you would call a day tripper. I don't see any problem with her coming to Wembley - she identifies with United, perhaps in a looser way than many on here, but she would always consider herself a blade and she's looking forward to an entertaining game and hoping that, for once, we can deliver on the big occasion. Surely we should accept this as being part of normal life. My son doesn't come these days, he came to the lane as a kid last decade but now enjoys climbing much more than football. When he asks me the result on a Saturday, always speaks of united as 'we'. He's a fan too, though he'll never meet the threshold of commitment that some on here expect.
I suppose my point is that we should both appreciate the support of the 15k,especially in miserable times, (I'm one of them) but also not dismiss those who may only come now and again but still think of themselves as blades.
