Stop mentioning Wilder ffs

Bit harsh. We're you not happy when he took us from the 1st division, where we had been languishing for years, to 9th in the Premier League and setting the owls back years in the process?
Deserves some respect but sure you know your football and he got it all wrong.
I will look forward to the owners interview on Radio Sheffield to tell us their plan going forward to address the lack of defensive cover...oh wait a minute...that only happens over the other side of the city.

Huge Wilder in guy myself and think it was a mistake getting rid.

That said at half time I was very happy and although I could see obvious flaws that will hopefully be addressed with recruitment coming in.

The two quick goals ended the game unfortunately and we never really got going again.

Not the typical 4 1 stuffing.

Work to do for sure but seen some stuff I really liked.

Some of you took great delight slagging the Prince off. He rescued us from the McCabe years, set us up as a good business, stopped giving our players away and he actually cared about Sheffield United. Say what you want but without him we wouldn't be anywhere near where we are now and would probably still be alternating between this league and the one below with a squad full of aging never has beens. The new owners are invisible, they aren't football men and they're here to make money. They don't give a fuck about our club or its tradition and they don't care about the fans. We're numbers on a spreadsheet and should it not go well I fear the worst in a year or two.

Sacking Wilder? I was neither a fan nor a detractor, he did some marvelous things with us and he fucked a few up as well. I thought it was a bad decision to get rid of him but some of you were frothing at the mouth. My view is that he isn't a yes man, he didn't like the new direction at the club and willingly walked away. The new manager set us up today with a weak team, very poor tactics and we looked like a non league team, slowly chasing shadows and watching the big boys score for fun.

One game in, so many things wrong with that, fuck me it was bad.

UTBFTP 👊👊👊

We are also only 1 point worse off than this time last season
Which is officially the maximum we could be after one game.

That game was badly managed and got worse not better.

4-1 at home if you are down the bottom of the league is an awful result. With one of the best squads in the league and with ambitions of play offs and above it has got to classed as a serious blot on his record. You only get 2 or 3 of these. Let’s not play down what a shit result a 4-1 loss at home is to a team not expected to be fighting for automatic promotion.

To be fair though, if we had scored at least 4 more goals, we'd have won and we wouldn't be having this conversation.

Wilder this, Wilder that. He's gone. Grow up.
One of the many reasons I didn't want him to go is I know every bad day, of which most sides in the championship often have, it's going to be brought up.

I'm going to try my best not to be that but if we have ten games like that it might be hard 🤣

Surely you know how you’re absolute idiots ???????

You honestly believe we’d of lost that with wilder???

Vindication, wilder would not have let this happen.
I'm pretty sure Wilder was manager when we lost to Oxford, Millwall and Plymouth. He was also manager when Hull embarrassed us at home.

Does it make you feel better gaslighting SteveBlade ?

Having an argument that nobody else was having?

Stops us having real conversations I guess
think you're the gaslighter 1987.. it's a very real argument that's been going all summer.

Personally don't think we can comment on Selles til he gets some financial backing (if he ever does). So far we've sold 2 quality players, plus a half-decent one in Moore and brought in some cheap randoms so it's unsurprising we're getting battered as things stand and can't blame Selles for it.

I think your assertion relies on Steve Blades post being genuine.

Which it isnt.

I agree with the rest of your post

Were we good… no were Bristol City … Yes clinical but they will be up there come May. Their keeper had a blinder a few opportunities at 2-1 down that if we went in at 2-2 confidence changes matches. It’s clear where we are light and now it’s up to the board to allow budget for incomings

Ah. It didn't take long did it?
Wilder is history.

Sadly, what we've seen today is players who've sh*t the bed suddenly. They've panicked and been done by a team who can clinically take chances.

I think we should prepare for further moves out by the end of the window too. Hamers stupid foul caused that first goal, that itself deserved to win a match.

And if you think that's the worst you've seen, believe me we can go levels beyond that and more, and have done.

Our boys need to grow up fast and take responsibility for that one. Not good enough by far

Selles has been let down with sales and that performance. They let him and us down.

I don’t think we’d have lost that with Wilder, no.

Simply because we wouldn’t have played a high defensive line, nor would we have played RND at CB.

Let’s not kid, we all know it would have been Robbo & Bindon. We’d have sat deep, it wouldn’t have been the prettiest watch but we’d have drawn at worst.

That was total kamikaze, suicidal football. Playing a high line with a LB&RB who like to both forward, so we were exposed easily with no defensive midfielder cover, I.e.: Souza.

Despite creating and being nice going forward first half, we had spells like that with Wilder -yet people will tell you otherwise! Again, it became slow and was not clinical.

In the 2nd half, McCallums half chance was the first on target right? We didn’t change shape and we keeper playing to our weaknesses, better managers prevent that. Selles should have!

But, 45 games left, let’s hope the Window is busy and squad fills out on key areas. Also, if Selles will be pragmatic when need be 🤷‍♂️⚔️

You mean like how we smashed hull etc at home...

Yeah..

Or how he neglected the defence primarily..

Yeah.

Pretty much nailed it. We go again.

Not a wilder fan...dont like him

But that was like a game played on football manager..

Haven't ever kicked a ball. And hes the manager
.
Walked out at 60 mins, was a great decision..

I wasn’t wilder out

Their keeper has dropped a 10/10 and our entire defence has had a stinker. Genuine dog shit display from all of them.

When you play an RB and an LB who are better as wing backs in a 5, it's not surprising that a bloke who has never played in the Championship, and another bloke who's been mainly injured for the last 18 months, don't look great.

Cooper didn't cover himself in glory either.
