Thing is with this lad he's 21 I don't think a bid of 10 m would be out of order as if he does really well 20m plus would not be out of the way as a resale value, the question we have to ask is would the 10m take a big chunk out of the budget when we all know we need a RB and a centre forward .
Personally I'd love us to sign him.

I can see us trying Callum Doyle for a bit less than half that and he’s a lefty, so there’s better options in future seasons to build next to him.

That's not based on anything though is it? We paid Brewster, Moore and Souza good money (which we've now saved on) and im sure Cannon got a wage that reflects a £10m price tag.

They spent on Cannon when they thought we were going up. They don't think we're going up now. Paying anything over 25k now seems unlikely to me

The panic that sets in every season because we haven't thrown hundreds of millions around is absolutely astounding
