That's not how the world works anyway. I'd be a better President than Trump but how would I have got that job? Very similar to saying Capt would be a top scout - not without a lot of luck and circumstance he wouldn't.

Sorry if my comment appeared a little shitty, it wasn't really directed at you, as such. It's just that the more the years pass and the t'interweb/social media become increasingly intrinsic in our day to day lives, the more it hits me how we as football supporters have changed. I mean, years ago we just accepted that we are..... clerks, plumbers, drivers, shop workers etc etc AND a football fan. We went to the games and chatted team selection with our mates, went to the pub and chatted how the game went - who played well and who was crap that day etc etc. We didn't see ourselves as pseudo journalists, physios, agents, coaches, talent spotters etc etc. We just saw ourselves as, well footy fans!

Don't get me wrong, I see how social media has changed things, but increasingly people seem to post stuff with complete self confidence and authority and shit they haven't got a real clue what they are talking about - rather than just accept that, yes we all have an opinion, but there are people far more qualified in the football industry than we are to make the calls/decisions that they are making (or not making as the case may be).

So yeah, as I'm trawling through the modern world of (mis)information and authoritative opinions, sometimes I just give myself a little reality injection that at the end of the day most people writing all the shit actually know fuck all!

I think he's a really good talent, and I was on here during the whole Cannon speculation shouting about how we should sign Kone instead.

BUT, he really dropped off quite terribly in the second half of the season. 0 goals in his last 10 games. I think because he's come straight from non-league football, there might be a bit of a fitness / conditioning issue.
