Jimmy Ramble saying in quite strong terms that Iroegbunam is our #1 loan target right now. Doesn't effect the Soumaré deal, that one still happens but we also want Iroegbunam in an area we're thin - Blaster rumoured to not be back till November now, Davis is made of cheese, Souza gone.

It's a tempting thumbnail - I can just see that a full soyface is likely to break out, so consider it watched

I don't like charlatans or liars (I'm not talking about indie bands through the ages). He's lying about sources now and seemingly embellishes anything and everything for content/clicks (money and self-importance).

Also he claimed to have important club info and tried to get fellow fans to pay for it. Astonishing and shameless behaviour.

When asked about the above, he immediately started lashing out.

No, he claims its not fair on his source and hints that it'll scupper potential moves.

A few more points worth noting from that:

• Cooper interest genuine, but he's not pushing for a move and seems happy to stay.
• Spanish striker (even though he hasn't been given a name), rumoured to be Romero, there is another club involved and we are apparently negotiating wages with him.
• Thinks Moore is on his way out as he mentions Romero (if it is him) will be 3rd choice.
• Antman is on a list but so are a lot of other players.
• Iroegbunam loan, doesn't mention if we'd have an option/obligation or if it would just be a straight loan.

That being said, if we get both Iroegbunam and Soumare in, we'd have quite a few options in midfield.

O'Hare--Iroegbunam--Hamer

Marsh--Soumare--Peck

Other options:
T Davies (injured till unknown date?), Arblaster (injured till November), Shackleton(injured till unknown date?), Caceres, Hampson.

Even if Arblaster won't be back till November, that's five first team players (O'Hare, Hamer, Peck, Soumare and Iroegbunam) and 1 Academy/Fringe player for 3 starting midfield positions, which is really good depth.

If we can't offer Marsh the game time he needs, we could afford to send him out on loan and still have enough depth in midfield until Arblaster returns.

I could have read this forum and come up with those exact points though.

Back on topic. I'd really like Iroegbunam with an option to buy at a "decent" price - hard to know if that's realistic or not.

Think Everton were reported to have spent about £9m last summer, but Moyes only really used him as a sub after coming back in power.

He's got a high ceiling and different profile to our other CMs. Just turned 22.

I don't listen to people like Ramble because I have zero time for people who like the sound of their voice too much. My general allergy to podcasters. I also don't like liars, charging fans for information either made up or already available for free. Ripping off your fellow fans. I'd have zero issue if his thing was to spend the time collecting all the info from public sources, putting it into an intelligent and interesting format and charging for the service.

I can't imagine the play or club would want that tbh. We'd only have a potential option if promoted and I can't see why the player would want to go to a newly promoted relegation fodder team.

That is true, yeah.... not much optimism for promoted teams these days is there. Understandably! See Brownhill not staying at Burnley as the most recent of many examples.

It would be a weird move from Everton to a promoted team much less likely to stay up than Everton. You'd think a very good loan season for a promoted team would put him in a good position for a starting role for Everton.

I'm in no way validating Ramble as a credible source, I don't know his credentials, but 100% he's closer to the football world than 99% of people on Twitter/Facebook and even here.

Re Jimmy Ramble, here’s an idea, if you don’t like his content don’t watch his channel and as for him ripping off other Blades, presumably they are all adults and can decide for themselves if the content is worth it. His channel,I’m sure, is just like this “rumours section”, you can choose to believe what you read or take it with a pinch of salt, same goes for him. From memory, he garnered a poor reputation for himself on this forum, over the course of the past year, through a few actions.

He had a video interview with the Prince at some point pre-takeover (in the summer maybe?) which I understand he put behind a paywall. I gather that there was a fair amount of info divulged in that video which would have been of great interest to all Blades, but he chose to directly profit off of it, which is pretty distasteful. Surely there are options for other content he could have charged for that would not have been as immediately significant.

Then there was the Baldock situation. Ramble started up a livestream, effectively announcing George's passing, as it had not been reported in most media outlets, or even by the club. I recall others stating that he had some monetisation options enabled on the livestream, so he was seemingly deliberately profiting from discussing GB2's death (these options can all be disabled prior to starting the livestream fwiw).

And he, among other things, called this forum a "cesspool" on a video or livestream (can't remember which). All because he came in here to discuss some actions, and was approached by a few people who were unimpressed with his aforementioned actions.

So yeah, he's hardly a favoured person in these parts.

For the record, I've never watched anything of his - I don't watch anything United-related on YouTube that isn't from the official SUFC account - so I've no idea if anything he says/has said is true. But considering how sparse info is from elsewhere, I'm inclined to take anything that comes from him with a pinch of salt.

People can do what they want, within reason. But Ramble is sometimes quoted as a source for information, on this forum. He isn't a source for information. Therefore he shouldn't be getting quoted as a source of information.

It’s the same with Jimmy, I like watching his videos as it’s Blades content. Just as I like watching the SUW guys and listening to Blades Pod, Tufty Club, 4 Blades, The Pinch etc.

His content has got a lot better and some of his videos with his pals Man Mountain and Dave the Nose are quite funny.

Made some mistakes in the past but deserves a second go, as everyone does.
