Other than Lee Baxter (obviously), Grbic is the worst keeper I’ve ever seen play for us, or almost any team.

I’m still waiting for the news that he’s a twin brother of a decent keeper, and we’ve been scammed.

Put things into perspective.......he was plunged head first into a defence that was playing like a group of under 11's, Dino Zoff would have looked shite behind that back 4.

Clean slate for everyone....and Grbic is better than Davies.

It wasn’t just the defence though. I can’t recall him making a decent save, when in fact he had the opportunity to make more than most keepers would have to. Compare him to Wes in that Tottenham hammering, where we shipped a hatful but it would have been double if not for some brilliant goalkeeping. Grbic was poor behind a poor defence.

I agree with that, but I will forever be curious as to whether his performances may have improved, if the defence in front of him hadn't been so horrifically porous.

I can't imagine it being easy, coming into a club where he was going to be under such extreme pressure to prevent goals. Had the defence performed better, and not left him so unsupported, maybe he'd have had a better time integrating into the side.

That said, I do think he's a better keeper than Davies. If we get an offer for Grbic, I'm not opposed to him leaving. But if we don't, I won't mind him playing in the cups.
 
Wilder gave him no chance and threw him to the dogs, almost as though he wanted us to lose.
He turned up and had been ill, was then given a medical which took ages , never had a training session and had hardly met the res5 of the squad let along train with them. Yet Wilder played him

Another example of Wilder emotional flounces - he had the dolls on with Wes and just needed to drop him

Not an example of an emotional flounce an example of a decision that he made which was wrong and no doubt spoilt the guys confidence. But it’s ok you stand up,for Wilder no matter which decisions he made .
He made some v good decisions and I thank him for that but in this instance he got it wrong and did nothing to,help,the new keeper
 
Can't think of a single thing Grbic did well. Thrown into a terrible team in a terrible situation but he was dreadful. Adam Davies should 100% be ahead of him. Davies never lets us down.

Err , I'm saying Wilder "fell out" with Wes , who was perfectly ok in a side that was guaranteed relegation by the Prince's financial strategy.
Once he fell out with Wes , his pride meant he urgently needed to replace him in the first team ,
And that led to a ridiculously ill-researched and farcical decision to sign a goalie who hadn't played first team football for ages and state publicly that "Gbric is our number 1"

Only then to be forced to bring Wes back in.

Wilder was a complete twerp at every stage of this particular goalie saga.
 
I would love to see half the thread get into the NFL and then completely lose their shit when they find out that 90% of veteran players don't play a single snap in pre season
