How is selling a striker that can’t run, pass or finish and has a penchant for playing through balls to the opposite team near the end of the biggest match of the season stupid? Get rid of the useless lump. To think we brought him in instead of renewing McBurnie’s contact is the only stupid thing here.

We bought him, expecting McBurnie to renew and with the aim of playing them together.
 
Matters not for much because I can't see Selles looking to sign him anyway, even if we did lose Moore. But last seasons stats speak for themselves:

Mcburnie - La Liga
35 games, 5 goals, 6 assists (1929 mins)
0 games missed through injury

Moore - Championship
30 games, 6 goals, 0 assists (2010 mins)
missed 14 through 2 separate injuries
 
I suspect the 3 year contract was because we couldn't afford to pay his wages over 2 years. Old Wilder tactic (we did it with Leon, iirc).

The problem is, we now have Moore until he's 35 and he's not looking like he has the fitness at 33.

If we could move him on to Wrexham on a free then we should do it.

When he's playing well he's really dangerous but he struggled last season. He looks so slow now. Still a good option off the bench but I'm not sure he'd be happy with that.

He was always too old for a 3 year contract , it was bloody obvious at the start.

It was. I think the hope was just that we'd be in this situation with him a year later, rather than now - 2 good years, then try to offload. But he's not even managed 1 good year

He should have never been the main striker. The intention was to have him and McBurnie sharing the load, in which case it could have worked out very differently. But regardless, he was/is still more past it than I expected him to be. His aerial mediocrity is especially surprising
 
Hanson was shite! He just didn't play enough for people to admit it. A bit like BBD last season. It took until around the play offs for most to admit how disappointing he'd been

Madine and McBurnie are the most recent good ones so you don't have to go far back really

Agreed.

He was superb. He was good in the air, but that was just one of his strengths.

I wouldn't class him as a target man.

I'll give you Madine.

McBurnie was terrible. A rubbish footballer. Couldn't even kick the ball properly.
 

If they've got the clout to sign O'Brien, they should be able to sign Moore

We should be pleased Wrexham got promoted now. Without them we'd have no option to move Moore on. It will present us with the chance to upgrade
