I think he was partly in on it. He'll have told them some things just to make sure it was leaked. I know 1 person close to Wilder/SUFC who was definitely leaking the info.

Its a funny one as lots of people think that the only person at the club that know about any ins and outs is the manager and that its them that always leak info... which clearly isn't the case.

As i understand it, the Shea Charles one was a genuine interest. Leicester were being extremely difficult to deal with over Choudhury, it seemed that we could've lost that deal and they were wanting more money. We enquired about Charles as an alternative, Leicester got wind of it and started playing ball. Wednesday had to pay more for Charles to come back.

I'd be interested to see if this would be the same for loan medicals which tend to be a lot less stringent anyway.

I'd love it if we had someone on the inside who could just give us a quick "calm down everyone, it's sorted, just waiting to announce/get the paperwork done". No information that would scupper anything but just telling us that it's done and to have a bit of patience.

That would be great but if they said it's all done and it's not and then it fell through can you imagine the response from fans then? If it happens great, if not then it's because of reasons that they can't say anyway.

Isn't it reported as a loan with an obligation to buy if promoted? If that is the case then the medical would need to be as stringent as a permanent

Absolutely agree, there is also the smoke and mirrors effect to consider, club leak info about player X to divert interest away from real target. A lot of 'leaks', as I understand it, are also from agents trying to further the careers of their players and the only other thing that strikes me about leaks is Surely Bettis as CEO deals with all of these and his team around him must surely be responsible for some in the past.
