United know that his absence will spark a flurry of concern and rumours.

Why not just nip it in the bud in advance or when the team is announced?

Unless there IS something to be concerned about
Exactly this, it’s taken until 10 mins before kick off for the news to come out that it’s allegedly a slight hand injury, now if that’s true then why not just say that when the lineup came out?

He has 3 years left on a 4 year deal after having had a fantastic Championship season - it would make no business sense for owners to sell. Especially for what reports are circulating, around 10 mill, he's worth more.. It would also really hamper our prospects of Promotion, not having such a good number 1 - which is what the owners aim is. Also, he'd be worth 10X if we get promoted this year!

Unless Burnley sell Trafford for 40m, but we'll KNOW they need a keeper, so will have a better bargaining position. Also, with them being thought to be fodder and likely to be coming straight back down...

This would be a disaster if he left, starting to realise how pigs must be feeling now
1000% this. Davies is poor and Grbic is terrible. For once we have found a gem of a keeper - there is no reason on earth to sell this early his value will only rise.

If he goes you definitely would have to question WTF is going on and who exact is advising these Yanks.

Let's be honest, he's fucked Plymouth over to come to us. Hes got no allegiance to us and as much as I really don't want him to go hes only like any other Footballer that is looking for the best opportunity for his own career. We're lucky he's on a longish contract and we can demand a good fee if he pushes for a move. Can't say I won't be gutted but there we go.

All this about £10m has to be bollocks. I wouldn't even entertain bids of £10m. Its got to be at least £25m up front based on today's prices and given his contract, age, ability and nationality.

Haha course ill be gutted if hes going but do i think hes injured? Not at all. He knows how good he is and knows theres obviously interest. Its happened so many times to this club and will happen many more times. This time im probably more bothered because its so long since we had a good keeper we owned and hoped we'd hold onto this one.

Anyone who thinks hes not playing because 'he's already number 1' or we're 'trying to figure out who our number 2 is' wants their head checking.

Only 3 reasons he's not playing;

Heads been turned by a bid
Injured
Fallen out with the manager
Yes they are the only possible reasons
If you're a Fanny

The replies don't hide the deleted post 😔

Although the framed shirts on the wall don't tally with Cooper.

One of them is United's 2019/20 PL away shirt. Looks like there's a villa shirt up there too.
Neither link to Cooper for or against...

Definitely a players house though. There's an EFL M.o.M trophy on the table
