I know today is very much a big missed opportunity and the gap is opening up again to one that we are now looking more unlikely of closing down but while ever it is still mathematically possible for us to grab that 6th spot in the league we have to go for it.

Anyone see any opportunities to pick up the handful of points to come close? Both MK Dons and Peterboro are yet to play Wolves, the latter away at Wolves which will be tough.

We could easily lose the next five on the trot there and be back in the mire.

This is a VERY tough run of games between now and the semi.

Porter could still claim the top scorer award for the division....

We need to take stock end of play on 5th April.

If we are within touching distance of Peterborough their arse holes will be twitching like mad and the pressure will build.
We could of course have no chance by then but that's the date I feel we'll know.

Clough's mandate this season was to keep us up, the play offs were always going to be out of reach after the horrific start under the clueless Weir and the poor run between New Year and the end of January.

Concentrate of the FA cup and the couple of more wins required to 100% ensure relegation is out of the question.

While ever it is mathematically possible we would be foolish not to look at it considering the run we have been on of late. We all know it is somewhat over ambitious but balls it, after a start to the season that can only be described at shite we have dusted ourselves down and grafted our gonads off earning the position that we are currently in. We have earned the right to be in touching distance mate so we have to go for it whilst ever it is still possible.

a top ten finish would satisfy me especially after the start we had. as long as we keep the performances to a good standard, I'm not to worried about the results. It all bodes well for next season, and I haven't been looking forward to a season this much for a long time.

We have been promised changes in summer, I just hope their of the positive kind (keeping Maguire and adding to the squad) rather than selling the entire first team, which wouldn't surprise me tbh.

Think our Nige will now look very much to the FA Cup,to maybe bring a smile to our faces.
We need our best team available, fresh and focused for this game,we can't make the play offs,we need Peterbro to lose at least three games, while we go on another super run.
Don't think that will happen,so why not take the opportunity to use such as Bray,Murphy ,Scoogs et al to rest up a bit AND give a few of the fringe players chance to show what they can do.
In the last two games we have shown we are that little bit short of quality to compete with the best in this division,so we need to be at our super best v Hull, who will be wound up by Mr Bruce to take their opportunty v 3rd division opposition, but on the day, with the wide open spaces at Wembley,we have two very good wingers in Murfs and mega improved Flynny to maybe ,just maybe cause an upset.
Our midfield runners Baxter,Coady and Scougall all have the skill to get at Hull, and maybe cause them problems.
One thing I'm sure about ..is that we will show up this time win or lose !

I agree with this, as long as the performances don't slip, I still want every player at their best even if its only a fringe player. I am happy to give up on the league this season (even though clough will still want 3 points from every game) and rightly so.

Or your negative drivel could fail at the first hurdle!

Why not enjoy what your team has achieved and continues to achieve under Nigel Clough?

At the moment you are making yourself look silly at regular intervals.
