Our budget may well be tight but I'm sure the £9.5mil profit from Souza will be reinvested, after all we've free up money on the wage bill selling him and losing Brewster.
There’s always the chance they risked the family silver on getting promoted and overspent to get PL parachute payments refreshed for at least 2 more years. Bit like Chancer tried to do with spending.Plus the wages of the multiple loanees. We’ll be fine.
Didn’t pay off so Wilders gone (bet Sellés is on a smaller package as well). Understandable we’re not rushing in and rebuilding the squad as we have the bones of a squad that got 90(92) points.
Squad will need tweaking to suit Sellés front foot style so he’s currently putting what he has through the paces to see who up for it, bit like test driving a car you're considering, he’ll finalise his assessment over 4 matches of friendlies. When that assessment is over he’ll look to bring odd few in on permanent deals and rest on loans so we are not lumbered with long expensive contracts.
Settle down, give him time.
