Burrows - has too many flaws in his game (particularly physically) for any PL sides to want to sign him and even if they did, we'd get offered £10m at most.
Campbell - if he can't last 65 minutes in the Championship he has no chance in the top flight.


I would be praying alongside you but they played Wilder like a fiddle with Cannon in January. They were never interested in him.

They're a bigger club than us with better training facilities and would have (at least) doubled his wages. We did well to get £8m for him. Osula would happily have stayed but £15m from Newcastle was the right move for all parties - we got the income we needed to sign Cooper and Burrows; Osula got a PL move; Newcastle got a decent prospect for a relatively (at PL level) small fee.
Jebbison was a combination of bad fortune, arguable misdiagnosis and a massive ego. Not sure any of that was to do with Wilder.

Every player in our squad last season was undermined by the sale of the two best players before the season started. What message did that send to the squad? We waved the white flag, nothing to do with Wilder. For what it's worth, McAtee made 27 appearances for Manchester City last season and has been linked with, amongst others, Bayer Leverkusen and Manchester United. Hardly "destroyed".


I presume you're referring to Oli McBurnie. Yes, he underperformed for us but he was leagues ahead of Oli The Burke and Callum Robinson, both of whom I'd put higher on a list of worst ever signings.

Im not sure if there have been replies to this, as playing catch up.

I guess its hard to judge Knill on matchdays, because its hard to know what Wilder asks of him.

In CWs previous stint, Knilly and Matt Prestidge were very prominent in the technical area, but CW has looked a very loan figure this time IMO.

I dont know if thats his choice though.

Whoever gave Robinson an ‘option’ deal (which he can instigate) needs their head looking at. I’d release:

Robbo (if I could, but see above)
Brewster (6 months being fit doesn’t make up for 3 years of sat in the treatment room)
RND (fitness)
Shackleton (fitness)
Although I like him, Tom Davies should be let go (if he is out of contract). Again, based on fitness record.

Robinson has meant to have been a back up since he was signed. Get him cleared off asap IMO. Even as a back up, he’s shite.

Clubs give options like this all the time, however they generally aren’t stupid enough to let the player make the required appearances to activate the clause.

Robinson had only made 12 appearances when Souttar got injured, I’m sure we could’ve easily limited his appearances so he didn’t get an extra year.

to be fair to wilder robinson didnt get a look in when souttar was here and anel on the left side which makes it all the more baffling as to why anel didnt stay on the left when holding came in basically wilder was saying robinson was a better option than holding it isnt even a close contest and it cost us big time at wembley with mayenders equaliser

Also, I take issue with people referring to Robbos ‘experience’

Last season was his first playing as a center back in a back 4. He was a left back when we signed him and he’s since been a LCB in a back three and one of very dubious quality at that.

Right from getting caught in man’s land in the 2nd game against QPR, to him returning to the team on New Year’s Day (subsequently costing us the match) against Sunderland and the plethora of fuck ups since then, he’s been what he’s always been:
ABSOLUTE DOG SHITE.

The thought of him starting in our first team at the start of next season makes my skin crawl.

He is an imposter playing in the top half of the championship and the season we got promoted he was been carried by a team of excellent quality where he had very little genuine defending to do. Even then he still made mistakes

Agreed. Whichever way you cut it, it's poor. If he wasn't fit enough (seemed obvious), then it was a pointless and probably a relatively expensive, loan signing.

What does this tell you then? All the "he picks Robinson because he's his favourite and pashun" is obviously BS given he picked Souttar over him.

Perhaps Holding isn't very good? I know this is impossible for people to consider, but it might be true.
