If I was to suggest what I think is the biggest contributory factor towards our recent form, it's the character in the squad and that was evident in the performance last night. Despite all the changes; Coady ran himself ragged & always showed for the ball, Kennedy showed maturity beyond his years and Hill, Collins & Doyle constantly communicated across the lines and led brilliantly. The wins are enjoyable, but above all I enjoy seeing a passionate & honest team represent my club. Thank you NC, Morgan, Garner and the rest of the backroom staff for instilling this.

Added to this a work ethic I've seldom seen in my many years as a blade, seeing Ryan Flynn crossing in attack and 30 seconds later tackling back in the right back position, scougal up and down the pitch time after time, every player playing for each other, not just that but for the first time in god knows how long they all seem to be talking to each other, something sadly lacking in recent years.
Mr clough may not be his father but early signs at BDTBL are that he may be just as good a man manager and as honest to and I for one couldn't give a higher compliment, onwards and upwards blades UTB

Character, discipline, maximum effort and football, not hoofball, that's Nigel's MO.

I agree. The character and belief in this team is remarkable, something which I haven't seen in a blades team since the 02/03 season and look how far we got that season just through sheer belief and passion. This belief, character and passion shown by the players has been consumed by the fans which has turned the Lane back in to the fortress it once was. Bramall Lane is rocking once again and there is a real buzz about the place which is making going to home games a brilliant experience. All this is down to Nige and his coaching staff and if I had a hat on right now I would take it off to him. Brilliant man. Well that's my first post out of the way! Up The Blades!

Clough seems to have fostered a team spirit that we've not seen since (whisper it) Warnock. Players working for each other, late goals.
Brilliant, isn't it?
