We are cursed

Surely its time for an exorcism at wembley

Sunderland were for 75 minutes the worst.pile of crap ever in a play off....but once again they are gifted opportunities down to kamikaze back passes and sloppy marking...and our inate ability to snatch defeat from the jaws of victory

Hamer limping off was like turning off the life support machine

They had 2 shots
We had 3 big chances
Scored one and the keeper made two great saves
First goal is totally against run of play and second is when we have a central defender off with a head I injury
They were lucky as fuck
We had countless other half chances we should have done better with but the main killer was the Injurys making us disjointed the tackle on diaz was a shocker he got the ball then went straight through hi. But funnily enough var didn't want to get Involved in that
Saw players get sent off for a lot less last season
Completely agree BBD was assaulted! JLT has been penalised in the past for that sort of thing?

They weren't 'lucky as f'
We didn't capitalise on our power first half
We turned it over to them for the winner which was really well taken past our keeper when he had little to shoot at on the right side
They hung on and 'did a job on us' to quote our glorious badge thumping leader.

So one mistake makes them better than us
Fuck off

Yeah, up he pops again
The man who is correct, and annoys the deluded with his correct comments

You won't have to put up with me much longer anyway, I'll have my say and then this club can fuck off

They will not exist in my mind ever again from tomorrow

Shame really then. As i actually think that you are a proper fan who cares passionately about United (reading between the lines in your posts). You just (imo) always convey it as so with your ranting. Maybe you care too much? Too many kicks in the bollocks over the years? Understandable.

Sunderland fans today were amazing, we were shit, another loss even shitter
Don't blame the fans at all
Campbell scoring was tinged with the inevitable 'too early" to score

We knew what we were going to get after that as Mr ambitious Blade through and through dropped us deeper and deeper and gave a team who weren't even in the game all the encouragement it needed

See ya then.

It's born out by the facts so far. If something happens ten times in a row it's very likely to happen on the eleventh.

Gambler's Fallacy.

Our participation in a play off final has no relevance to any previous defeats.

Agree we get a goal then drop we have all season, our fans today sensed disapointemt from off, fact, if that was fans v fans Sunderland would have won 10 nill

What I said is the opposite of a Gambler's Fallacy.

It's not.

In the year 2125 we'll all be long gone and Sheffield United will have won many Championship play off finals.

The past has no relevance to future results.

Our fans have had enough now at wembley, no passion nothing it's done, we will never win there! If we do win 1 time there will be 15k max there to see it

The Gambler's Fallacy as usually illustrated is "this coin has come up tails nine times in a row, heads must be due".

This isn't correct, as you say the past results don't affect the future results.

But what I said was "if something happens ten times in a row then it's likely to happen on the eleventh" - the opposite of the "Heads must be due" argument.

I'm fact if you keep flipping a coin and keep getting tails, more than heads being likely next time, you might just have a weighted coin that's more pre-disposed to coming up tails than heads.

And that's what we have here - the past results might not have a baring on the future results but the fact that it is the same football club trying to get those results is a factor.

And I believe on a granular level Sheffield United are utterly incapable of achieving promotion through the Play-offs.

Sunderland were just the better team on the day.

No such thing as curses.

The second half was like slowly having your outstretched tongue very slowly shoved towards Pat Butcher's shitty arsehole.
They were not the better team, they scored a goal from a mistake, that’s all.

You're bang wrong.

There's absolutely no reason why Sheffield United can't achieve promotion through the play offs.

You're trying to invoke something that is illogical.

It's superstitious nonsense.

I don't believe we're cursed. Just utterly incapable.

I don't believe we're cursed. Just utterly incapable.

How is the Chris Wilder team that lost today in any way connected to the Howard Kendall team that lost in 1997?

At absolute best you could argue some of the fans are the same and they imbue a negative feeling on the team.

Overall I'd still say it's absolute codswallop.

So one mistake makes them better than us
Fuck off
If we hadn't bottled automatic, today wasn't necessary
If our strikers could do what we contracted them to do, today wasn't necessary
If we'd taken our chances when we were on top, this conversation wouldn't be needed
We weren't good enough. It is that simple.
Again

Abuse isn't necessary, thankyou

Think we need a club psychologist, honestly no matter the era or players, we find a way to f*ck it up, it’s unreal.

There's no such thing as a curse.

It's just a word.

We've lost 10 play offs because we've deserved to for varying reasons.
