Not going to make any predictions because i can see every outcome! Draw and pens, United win, Sunlun win, extra time etc, etc...

it will be interesting though. Sunderland will want to play on the counter, just like they did against Cov so will let us have the ball so expect lots of possession and side to side, recycling etc. Unless CWAK expect that to happen to and we are working on a slightly different approach which would see us try and draw them out and we go toe to toe.

Part of me thinks it's our time for few reasons o won't go into, part of me just thinks we don't have these kind of wins. I feel the same about England winning a major trophy.

I feel very similar. It's a wholly different squad with little of the fans' playoff baggage. Plenty with big match experience, we have options on the bench and are in good form after the last few games of the season and Wilder seems calm and motivated.

Also, a huge part of me keeps saying after all these failures it's our turn and that it's different this year.

But that is gambler's fallacy, so I'm trying but currently failing to forget the past and just take the game as it comes and try and enjoy it. Petrified about conceding an early goal though.

Seriously, Shirley we can play and win a game of footy with no controversy, no reds, no appeals if we win, no unregistered players, no points deductions, no bomb scares evacuating Wembley. Just play, win go home celebrate. Is it to much to ask?

I suppose many of us will feel similar until we win one of these.

I've been convinced for a few years that we were close to winning one of these but now it's here I'm trying to not dream too much

What I like though is that we seem to have dealt with the automatic disappointment very well and there hasn't been any of the fall out I feared.

I've also spoken to someone I know this week who is very close to one of our players (probably not hard to guess which one) and I'm really enthused what I've heard about focus, desire, attitude, atmosphere etc etc.

There's a lot of positivity this time imho but I do find it difficult to believe
