Failure to control our players

Loving the ‘it’s a conspireceh’ posts. Of course other clubs get pulled up on it, the league/FA/world is not all anti-Sheffield United, some of our fans love to think the world is against us though.

Lol no conspiracy, but there are definitely inconsistencies.

I've literally factually shown one above and could easily find more examples.

Yes, we do it lots and should be fined higher, but if you're trying to claim it's 100% consistent, then it's just not true.

We desperately needed to re-set after the dismal performances of last season.
I'm not saying Wilder instigated it, but he had seen at first hand how the club lacked fight and what a sorry state we were in.
Right from the start of the season you could see how he turned it around, the "All for one, and one for all" attitude was desperately needed.
I don't have a problem with it, we've proved that we aren't going let teams bully us and they will stand up for one another. We didn't have that last season.
I have noticed that certain players, Anel, Gus and Sydie don't get too involved now, they leave it to the others.
Of course if you would rather us go back to the team that lacked fight then you're welcome to.
This.

Our ‘mentality’ and ‘pashun’ are the reasons we are up there with the teams with the best attack and the best defence in the league. It’s our thing this season.

Robbo and Peck in particular have been cheered on and had their name chanted when they get stuck in (handbags, not over the line aggressive, Anel is the one who got that wrong and he and we were punished for it).

It’s definitely part of the Wilder management strategy as well, he often alludes to it in interviews.

So, you have that ‘in it together’ mentality or you don’t. It could be we would have won as many games without it, but we’ll never know. The 100K plus fine is not ideal, but if we were offered the chance of a 200K fine now (by the football gods) for a guaranteed ‘passionate’ win at Burnley, I for one would snatch their hand off!

The frequency of our offences mean they’re dealt with as non-standard and involve a panel and written reasoning.

I get that we’re passionate and all but this is becoming a bit of a joke. £265,000 in fines and counting this season.

Based on that amount of money you would think it was the Battle of Bramall Lane every time we play.

When are the refs going to get pulled up for just being a bit shit and losing control of a match?

I have no idea what the rules are, it seems a bit random but if we keep doing it we’re going to keep getting fined. Just stop, it’s not big or hard.

As far as I know there still hasn't been any repercussions for Burnley for therir mass confrontation with West Brom which included playing staff and non playing staff at full time... wonder why 🤷‍♂️

Often published later. I doubt it will be overlooked. If you go on the fa website, in News, and filter by Rules and Regulations there are dozens of fines and investigations every month.

Robbos sumo throws need to stop. That said I love the bloke and his passion but he could channel it better at times.

The ultimate sanction for serial offenders will be points deduction. If that doesn't calm everybody down a bit...

I find it richly amusing that in the same week Wednesday have announced they can't afford to pay their players, we're handing over £120k to the EFL for our players scrapping and it's no biggie for us financially.

Burnley were charged with failing to control their players but were acquitted. Probably because, as you see from the picture, they weren't surrounding the ref. It's mass confrontation with the referee that they are particularly down on.

Look at em surrounding the ref dammit!

Are we up to a million today? We'll have spend more on fines than a Goalkeeper at this rate.

The Plymouth incident is the one Chris should be dipping into his own pocket for.

My view hasn't changed that most of the incidents this season were a nothingburger.

Also, any news on the Wednesday flare throw? and Burnley v WBA? Any club fines been dished to them other than Parker getting a 2k fine and a touchline ban back in March? The Burnley v WBA was nearly 3 months ago now and the league has finished.

How much are you going to contribute towards the £0.5m? If you reckon it’s ok & want it to carry on you should be putting your money where your mouth is.
I will start a go fund me page 😁

Other than the scuffle in the tunnel vs Plymouth... I am not really that sure what the issue is. Its not like we are throwing punches or stamping on people. No one is at risk of getting hurt?

Well worth the fines if it'd what it's taken to finish the season where we are!

The issue is half a million quid, that should be quite easy to understand.

It’s had no impact whatsoever on where we finished. But crack on with your go fund me page, let us know how you get on.

Nil, zilch, Nadda. I actually like to see the team rally around one of their own. Shows they care about each other and will stand up for each other. Fines, that's the pussy league making this a wimpy sport. Bring back the good old fashioned tackle. Not the late stuff but the ball winning stuff.
