Will we sell out?

I agree with selling by sections, but it's getting ridiculous now.
People have bought tickets sat on their own when they could have sat with friends or family.
Some willing to pay for more expensive seats have had to buy cheaper seats
Some have had to buy more expensive seats that they couldn't really afford when cheaper seats keep coming back up for sale.

Selling by sections would work if each section was sold in a pre-determined time slot that was advertised to fans.
This random and secret squirrel game of "block open, block closed" is unacceptable when fans are paying hundreds of pounds to take family along.
Talking of, what next, half the family area becomes magically up for sale?

Yes around 120 seats now back on sale including nearly 80 in section 205. Why these extras have now been released I don't know?

In theory United could still occupy another 120 (above) + 850 in block 525 and the extra block around 800. So around 1750k. Means we are at around 33250k I guess?

I do wonder if a few hundred may buy early this week though?

Assuming they've now locked the other block as they will wait till the 120 ish are sold and then give to us some more or if not give to Sunderland?

Edit - seen there is another 400 now added. Very odd

Before you point the finger
And hope the whole thing disappears
Remember empty words will fall
And fall upon the deafest ears

He won't give in without a fight
And foul play without a doubt
No silver lining to be seen
In this thundercloud
Oh, that's not allowed

In the ideal world
We'd be free to choose
But in my real world
You can bet we're going to loose

Your money fills your pockets
Fear fills their tiny minds
At last the world is talking now
This ain't no way to treat mankind

A sudden blackout stops the show
But doesn't stop the way I am
'Cause all my life I've been oppressed
You're not the first to say I am
I do all I can

For an ideal world
Where we're free to choose
But in my real world
Oh, you can get we're going to lose

In the ideal world
We could start again
But my real world
Hangs on the colour of your skin

Maybe they couldn't sell them to club wembley members so they're giving them to us and Sunderland

On their website it says club Wembley is a three year commitment where the purchaser has tickets for events.

Maybe they can sell individual tickets back to Wembley? But it seems a bit weird for an entire block to go on sale and not just seats dotted around all the blocks.

By offering a product at a certain price and then removing it and so encouraging a purchaser to buy a more expensive product sounds underhand to me.

I can see a Martin Lewis Money Programme Special here with compensation rivalling PPI.

Thought you were gonna say Martin Samuel for a second. I felt sick

It's definitely annoying that when you got in the queue early, ready ro try and get the best seats for you, that you couldn't pick from all the available seats.

I almost panicked and just bagged seats. But I did OK in the end, as long as its not a hot day, and we're bathed in fire like the city fans this weekend.

I don’t think block 205 is in our allocation and is extra. No extra blocks will open now as 526 is segregation as per ticket office. Not. Sure if more of 525 will open or not.

exactly!

I did the same but instead of almost panicking.. I actually did panic and bought tickets higher up than I wanted. I was going to pay a bit more this time to be closer to the pitch but when I logged in on Friday lunchtime there were barely any showing available.
It’s a bit of a kick in the tits when you hear that others have had loads sat in their baskets while waiting for better seats to be released but I guess had I known to do that then I probably would have done the same.
Can’t be arsed with the faff of swapping now - although I am tempted by those now showing free in 205.
Sat in pretty much opposite side to last time I went and the view wasn’t too bad.

Also considering swapping to 205 if can get on phone quick enough tomorrow morning 🤦🏻
They should probably have let everyone buy whichever category they wanted and then allocated actual seats themselves

The trouble is the categories are the same across different level. I would be livid if I wanted the best priced seats in the upper and the TO gave me lower

I’ve ended up with tickets with a poor view - not the price point I wanted - through the ticketing system.
But from what I remember, when I queued up at the ticket office to buy tickets for the old Wembley 30 years ago, you just got what you were given. And - I think - you pretty much found out where that was in the ground when you got there! Maybe we’ve got a bit used to expecting we can all have exactly what we want, when we want it, all of the time?

I think it’s more so that 30 years have passed, prices have skyrocketed and yet the ticket allocation is a complete shambles, leaving families and friends apart all for a day later to see that they could have sat together as hundreds of mysterious seats become available.

I counted 282.

No mention of 525 anymore and 524 just had odd tickets now, less than 10.

Still random how 205 which seemed as if it was closed now shows tickets.

103 - 17 quite a few seats together
119 - 32 quite a few seats together
122 - 4 inc 2 together
123 - 20 quite a few seats together
205 - 198 seems a new release
520 - 2 odd seats but not far from each other, 2 seats away
524 - 9 odd seats

This thread is amazing btw. As an expat who isn't flying back for it (I did consider but am heading back to Sheff in August) I'm feeling the angst and excitement from you all!

Just wait for my post in August, "Has anyone got a spare ticket for Arsenal at home on September 6th"? 😂
Very much an exciting will they / won’t they thread isn’t it?!

Come on, let’s be having you!

Same as you, I also can’t be there. Work/other travel, but looks like an excellent turnout so far worh a week to go.

Opening block 205 is bizzare. Nowhere near anything we’d been allocated previously. I wonder if it was a group of tickets in club Wembley that have said they’re categlri Not going, and they’ve been released to allow the club to have them, rather than them being left empty?

Make that the 4th September and we'll happily accept the same result as 4th September 1973
