For those unable to attend or not going to Wembley for whatever reasons, where will you watch?

I remember Cardiff really well for all the wrong reasons. Double decker coach from the lane slowest journey there. Best seats ever right behind the blades dug out texts galore we can see you everything the camera pans to the blades dug out. Longest journey home back at the lane for midnight.

Wife at the time picked me up cases packed 1st words do not spoil this effing holiday

Next day Manchester airport in the lounge still brooding bloke walks in wearing a Wolves shirt on. True story I said then never ever ever again.. 1pm tomorrow ill be logged on trying to get 2 tickets .. once a fool always a fool ..UTB
Went to Palace with my dad on the Railway coaches. Got there are like 10 and had nothing to do to kick off. Police gave some neo Nazi Palace fans a little guard as they walked round our side. Seats in the top row. Like sensible soccer, I could mainly make out hair colours.

After the game, some Palace fans were allowed to sing round our coaches. One of them punched a female Blade. Half the bus ran off and started fighting and police arrested everyone outside. Including the organiser and his young daughter.

Had to wait until everyone left and then went to the cop shop. Waited again for ages but they wouldn't release them. Finally left. Women on bus behind moaned the entire journey back as her partner ate the last piece of chicken.

Never again.

What's it like out there at present?

Mate needed to go for work purposes a few years ago and was encouraged not to due to being a target for terrorists and the like
It's fine here in that regard (as long as you don't get involved in opposition political parties!).

In the 10 years I've been here the only trouble I've experienced was around the time of the last elections (2021) when I found myself in a traffic jam caused by rioting opposition supporters. The police were just a few metres to my right, busy firing stun grenades and tear gas over the cars. I had little choice but to sit and watch until the jam cleared and I was able to go on about my business.

There was a car bomb in Kampala a few years ago, and there are occasional issues on the western border with the DRC, but otherwise it's pretty peaceful, so I'm surprised your mate was discouraged for those reasons. Maybe it was around the time that honeymooning couple (from South Africa?) were killed?

I’m not going because we always lose in the play offs.

I’m not going because the tickets are too expensive.

I’m not going because I hate Wembley.

I’m not going because I don’t have a membership number because I never go to a match.

I’m not going because I know we will lose.

These excuses are unique to us and every other club doesn’t have the same excuses.

We won’t sell out, yet again, because we are peasants.
Bet your just a tramp like the rest of your fanbase (faded home strips that don’t fit spring to mind)
We’re genuinely better than you in every way and it hurts doesn’t it.

I bet Uganda is an interesting place to live.
Yeah, interesting is one way to describe it! It can be interesting, rewarding, frustrating...

You could perhaps liken the difference between here and the West to owning an old banger of a car versus the latest high-spec motor. With the old banger, you really have to drive it to get anywhere and have to put the time in to keep it on the road; the latter almost drives itself. But the experience with the banger is much richer, if you know what I mean.

The power is off at the moment (a frequent occurrence) but we have running water today, though the pressure suggests it won't last the day, then we'll be back to carting buckets from the rainwater tank.

There's a much greater sense of community here. For example, if someone dies, the whole village turns out to console the bereaved and help prepare for and attend the funeral. And people are in and out of each other's homes all the time.

There's also not the same feeling of being against the clock all the time — things to do, people to see, places to go etc, so life unfolds at a slower pace. Nor (thank fuck) is there the same grotesque consumerism.

People are poor by western standards, and I'm sure they would love to have the appliances and gadgets taken for granted in the west (not to mention fecking power and running water), but to my eyes they are happier.

Plus there's the climate 😊

Well, I have finally had to admit defeat in getting over to the UK for the game. Negotiations with the wife broke down and there was something said about changing locks, lawyers, divorce.............

Anyway. I will have to settle for second choice of watching it in the garden on the outdoor cinema projector screen with Beers.
Hoping that it will be celebratory drinks!!!

Kendal …. hopefully. Second to last day of a fundraising walk for St Luke’s (from St Luke’s to the Lake District). Longest stint of the week that day with 26 miles to cover from Clapham to Kendal. 6 am start should just get us there. I was the only one hoping for a late kick off 😜 Any recommendations from Lakes-based blades for a pub in Kendal much appreciated.
I suggest the Clock Tower. Watched 3 Blades games over the years when visiting. It's like a "lively Chantrey (Woodseats)". Few characters, but found it friendly. Centre of Kendal, next to Wetherspoon, and 1 minute from excellent Fell (Brewery) Bar that do great Pizza approx 5pm-9pm. Good luck with the walk

That’s brilliant- thanks 😊 Think our route route pretty much takes us past the Heron as recommended by Bladey McBladeface. We’ll either be celebrating or sorrow drowning in town after though, so will definitely check out the Clock Tower and Fell 👍👍

I can’t make it due to personal reasons so I’ll be watching at home. It’ll be the second one I’ve missed out of all the play-off so I’m a bit gutted.

Don’t like watching United in
The pub because I find I don’t concentrate on the match, and end up talking, going to the bar etc and missing stuff.

I also don’t like nob head Wednesday fans cheering whoever we play and it’d wind me up. Fortunately it’s mainly a blade pub where I go but there is some.

And there’s always someone who goes a bit over the top with it, can’t handle the drink.

I'll be in the mountains of Tucker County, West Virginia, staying in a cabin near Canaan Valley National Wildlife Refuge.

As it stands, the plan is to avoid finding out the score (kick off is at 10am for us) and watch the full game on Paramount+ later that evening.

Counting on the John Denver connection to bring us luck.

Singapore is a little quieter than that! Will be 10pm here and there are plenty of bars showing the game. My problem is i tend to have some early beers on a Saturday (well most days) and so when it kicks off it may well probably 50/50 as to whether i watch it.

I live in a small town in Ireland, no one gives a shit, and if there's a Gaelic game on at the same time, the match won't even be on in the pub. So at home it is!

I will be on the A16 in Northern France. Not sure whether to try and burn data and listen (assuming it will be covered on SUFC audio pass?) or live in ignorance, get to the campsite and check the score. Not usually one for football shirts or superstitions but considering I wore it for both play off legs (and our home game was the first time I had seen us win at BDTBL since Ipswich in 2019...) I am going to wear it and may even have to have a bovril on the ferry...

Kick off midnight here ☹️. Have no idea if it’s being shown anywhere, where I can watch it with other Blades. The most likely venue being the casino. So, most likely, at home on the sofa.
Nervous just thinking about the game. UTB.

Swore I wasn't going to go if we got there. Sick and tired of spending a fortune to be disappointed in the shit hole of Wembley.

Then the bastards gave me hope by dicking Brizzle, straight in the queue on Wednesday and already nervous 🫤

Ha Ha i noticed you didn't wait to sit with the rest of us. Straight in there with your season ticket privilege ;-)

Couldn’t agree more with your comment about Wembley, although it is far better than the toilet it used to be.
I’ll be watching on my phone, as will be at a family wedding, at St Paul’s in London of all places.
