Will we sell out?

I’m a season ticket holder and hope to buy 7 tickets, 5 adults and 2 kids.
2 of us have season tickets, 1 had loads of points, 3 have been to 1 game so don’t have enough points and 1 I don’t know, probably no points.

We all want to sit together in the upper tier.
I’m going down to the ticket office to see where I stand.
Don’t mind waiting until next week and if there are tickets left like I expect then surely I’ll be allowed to buy 7 tickets?

I’m not bluffing…..might have to request ID numbers for 2 adults and 2 kids.
Missed out on the Man City game because we couldn’t all get tickets together but don’t want to miss this one.

PS: The wife isn’t going, it’s the mother of my grandson, who supports United but never goes, altho they did go to the Leicester match in the PL when there was a family deal on in the BLUT and she wants to take her 2 young daughters.

Obviously more genuine fans should have first option but if there are tickets left next week then can’t see a problem for me to buy.
The whole point of restrictions is to reward more loyal customers and to prevent Sunderland fans buying tickets in our end, none of this applies.

Does make you wonder how many more casual fans famcy a day out, 5,000? Probably more and that’s how you slowly grow a fanbase.
If we win…you find there’s a good chance the casuals become regular fans.
Good luck, I'm sure you'll get what you want.
And to be fair, there are only 28,000 people who are "deserving" of tickets, so if you are willing to wait until next week all of those will have been sorted so the club should give you what you want.

I agree we take so long to get the tickets out there to anyone below season ticket level, as shown today if you want it when it’s your time you’ll be on it and buy if not they can still buy at any point after, hope the new owners really get a grip with the tickets for games like this
I'd have thought that if it is true and 17000 tickets have already gone that would have taken care of almost all of the season ticket holders.
Just because a person is a season ticket holder doesn't mean they want to go to the game, some have never been to an away game in their lives. However, I understand why they should be given first dibs

He said he was going down.

Yeh I’m still going down to sort out the friends and family accounts.

I’ve noticed 1 adult and 1 child should have 200 points but it’s only showing as 100 points.
It seems for the Burnley game I can show them my bank statement proving that I paid the ticket office for an adult and child game for the Burnley Boxing Day gsme
But as it was given in the ticket office they haven’t allocated them 100 points for that game.

Still need an extra 100 slotting on to 1 of the other adult ID and a totally new child ID being set up.
Then I’ll buy 7 tickets for the official coaches…and meet family and friends down there.

I’m fine buying on the net….but can’t due to various issues regards not enough points which hopefully I’ll be able to sort.

I have 2 kids ST’s and my kids live here in Houston so there’s 2 who won’t be going. I just kept the seats because they’re cheap and family often upgrade them for games.

I dunno.

If we'd not been to Wembley in decades and hadn't had such a miserable experience to remember I think we'd sell out in a blink of an eye. I just think so many supporters carry mental scars that it's a tough sell, whatever the opposition and occasion
Mental scars. Bloody hell. What if they were in the trenches in WW1 or in the Normandy landings?? If grown men can't get over losing a football match from a few years ago then god help this country!

If they all have account numbers join them as friends or family ( or open an account if someone doesn’t have one). Then phone the ticket office, - you can do that tomorrow dont wait until next week - explain the situation and see if they can help. All having accounts already will make it easier for the TO staff to award the 200 points. If you are successful you can then get the tickets Friday afternoon.
Brother in law tried this today and it was a 'no can do' unfortunately

A lot will be waiting to get tickets with none season ticket holders too.

The ticketing policy isn't good, loyalty points are a joke to a certain level, you been a blade for 40 years had numerous season tickets over the years and attended home and away, then maybe circumstances change, having kids, working away etc and not being able to get as much, and getting your hands on freebies when you can make it, where's loyalty from the club from your support for 40 years? Your on data base and according to the club they can see back 19 years ago. But your lotalty points are wiped off after 3 years.i do get that season ticket holders should get first dabs. But again the 200 point system on general is a joke if the club can see back 19 years to prove who you are. Smaller clubs than ours sell out it's sad that we won't.
No they’re not I just had 700 points alocated from my season ticket in 18/19 - they weren’t transferred over. So they can look back longer than three years, if they have a record they will allocated the points

I’m the same brother…. Actually whilst sounding disloyal it’s best call I’ve made. It’s horrible times ten when you don’t turn up, lose, spaff a right wodge etc. bad enough watching on telly. And before anyone gets fresh I’ve been to every home game this season, probably half the aways including feckin Oxford and Plymouth but am just not feeling the vibe..

In fact I spent the hotel, travel, ticket, beer and food money this weekend on a very pricey barbecue. Some Egg thing.

Plan to have a barbecue, fantastic wine, get some top ale from turner’s bottle shop and stay at home.

Heresy or sense?
I just don’t get this… why go to all those games in a season then miss the bigggest one… I hope the team don’t have this attitude… what a waste of a season full of filling us

If you're desperate I have a spare 60+ and a spare 16 year old customer number. Both have enough points.

No 30,000 + average home league attendance since 1968. 57 years. Hahahaha. LOL. ROFL. Etc etc 😂😂😂🐖🐖🐖

How about since 1960, that’s a total of 65 seasons.
Wednesday have broken through the magical 30,000 average attendance barrier……wait for it……wait for it……TWICE.
In 1967 they averaged 30,217 and in 1968 they averaged 31,461.

This is shockingly bad when you consider that during the early 1960’s Sheff Wed were one of the best teams in England challenging for the title
And they also reached the FA cup final in 1966 and were in cup finals challenging for the league in the early 1990’s too.

They can get big gates for 1 off matches but haven’t had regular big crowds in most peoples living memory.

Appreciate the offer.

I’ll go down to the ticket office tomorrow and see if they can put some points on my friends and family list. I have proof I paid for the tickets but the points weren’t allocated but I’ll still be 1 child and possibly 1 adult short, so I might need to take you up on the offer when they go on general sale on Friday. Thanks

I’m a ST holder but as expected casual Blades in the family now want to go and take their kids where one has no points….
But she is an example where she could become a proper match going fan….therefore growing our fanbase.

Let’s face it - if you don’t sell out it’s f***** embarrassing
You do get that it’s quality over quantity, don’t you? Your club attracts the scum of the earth. The racists, those who mock dead children etc. I’d much sooner have our fanbase even if we don’t sell out because we have far more class, always have. I still remember “I’d rather be a paki than a Blade” regularly ringing out around the Old Slag. Let’s face it, if a reprehensible cunt wants to go to a match they’ll pick your lot because they’ll feel more at home.
