British Rail ? There hasnt been a British Rail company since the 80's ?British Rail do it again - there are no DIRECT trains from Sheffield to London (or direct returns from London to Sheffield) on Saturday 24th May.
It might be worth having a look at this thread on 'Matchday info':British Rail do it again - there are no DIRECT trains from Sheffield to London (or direct returns from London to Sheffield) on Saturday 24th May.
IF, (yes I know) we get to the final just a heads up.
Engineering works at Bedford so those travelling south on EMR will get off at Bedford and onto a bus to Hitchin railway and back on to St Pancras. If you are coming from Sheff then you should be OK going to Doncaster and then down but from Chesterfield downwards you will have to keep an eye on things.

Were parking up at Retford and going from there. Did same for QPR.Yup I've looked at that every one has at least one change cheapest return around £80-85 most being Northern Rail/LNER or Northern/Hull trains, one of the return journeys departs from Euston, Thames/Cross country I presume change at Birmingham, typical of Sheffield to have the crappiest route to London in the whole country. Be easier for me to go from Retford with LNER
The trouble is most will more than likely be full of Sunderland fans unless you can get on one of the Hull trains. Were parking up at Retford and going from there. Did same for QPR.
Both Sunderland and us have to negotiate a 2nd leg, the trains possibly could be empty. The trouble is most will more than likely be full of Sunderland fans unless you can get on one of the Hull trains.
Sheff to Wakefield Kirkgate, catch one of the two Grand Central Bfd to KGX trains.
Megabus from Sheffield to London return is £15. It’s an early start and late getting home but probably cheapest unless driving.
Ours booked for 5.00 pm on the Friday Donny managed to reserve seats but that will mean uck all once they get on in the North EastTrains to London from Donny will be rammed with Sunderland fans
Forget which Wembley trip it was but we have chartered trains before they usually dragged a HST set out for us straight to St Pancras other times I have gone via Doncaster to KingsXWots needed us a couple of football specials paid by the yanks
Does that price include good old Jimmy chomping you off on route?
Go from DonnyTry getting to London with French rail or Italian rail or German rail then. This is Britain, whatever our rail company happens to be called there are still no direct trains on 24th May !!!!

German state railway Deutsche Bahn operates four British railways including the London overground and the Grand Central line to Sunderland. Seven UK railways are operated or partly-operated by Dutch state railway Nederlandse Spoorwegen (NS), including Merseyrail, Scotrail and the West Midlands Railway. Seven railways are operated fully or partly by French state railway SNCF, including Transport for Wales and the Thameslink.
Sure it was Huddersfield play off?Think the last time we did that was the Hull game at Wembley?
You can't even call things British without getting locked up these days.
If you don’t get your reserved seat keep your ticket and contact the train company.Ours booked for 5.00 pm on the Friday Donny managed to reserve seats but that will mean uck all once they get on in the North East
