Agree, and it looks like Wilder has the same attitude which is good to see.

I don't really consider anything like that. What I do consider (or even worry) is that I've seen Sheffield United throw away multiple goal leads in a VERY short period of time nevermind over two legs. Sharps hat trick against Villa being completely made redundant in the space of 10 minutes is probably the one that comes to mind immediately.

For the record I think we'll be okay I just don't want them to think it's game set match before the whistles goes. Personally I'd like them to just go out and put the game to bed quickly. I'd imagine they'll have a bit of fire in them, a team that thinks "fuck it, nowt left to lose" and they could just hammer our defence till the goals start trickling. If we can get their heads dropped quickly then it's ours.

I've been actively supporting United since 1980. I make that 2346 games in league and cup.

If I remember rightly, United have only twice failed to win in that period when having a 3 goal lead. That Villa game and v Reading in 1986. When we went from 3-0 to 3-3 between the 60th and 65th minute.

That's 0.085% of games.

We've not had many 3 goal leads after the first in 2 leg ties, but we've never come close to losing any of the ties. All in the league cup.

The only time we have had a 2 goal 1st leg lead overturned was in 1999-00, when we beat Preston 2-0 at home and then lost 0-3 away.
