Best referee and assistant performance i’ve seen in quite a while and definitely this season.

Our offside goal was a fantastic call and totally fair. Peck was in an offside position and didn’t allow the Bristol City player to get infront to try and attempt to clear the ball. Do I think he could have cleared it? No but there was still that opportunity that he could of which was why the goal was rightfully ruled out.

The red card decision on Dickie was superb. It’s a straight red card and it’s important to understand why it was a red card and not a yellow card. Because Dickie didn’t try and play the ball, he got sent straight off. He literally put his arms around him and dragged him down.
However, let’s say Dickie went in for a slide tackle to try and slide the ball away from Moore, but instead he gets his ankles and brings him down, it’s a yellow card because he at least tried to win the ball but if you literally drag someone down and purposefully just want to foul a player in the box then it’s a straight red card. Great decision.

Goodman tried to explain it by saying he got round him and touched the ball

However had he not pulled him back he wouldn’t have got close to been able to touch the ball

Bias bell end, glad lads in studio spoke up and said it was pen and red card

Let’s finish this comfortably and hope he’s on co comms when we win at Wembley the cock womble

Not sure if it's already been said but Mr Wolverhampton on Sky saying never a red it's a red every day of the week and twice on a Sunday.. had that have been against us zero complaints over the decision it's poor defending he is the wrong side player at fault. Or do I have my bladey blades specs on?

Ref was great I thought, but they obviously won’t see it like that with the recent history. Manning called the ref out a few weeks ago and will no doubt believe there to be a bit of a grudge and maybe bias.

Right decision for our offside goal side goal.
Right decision for the pen and red card.
Missed Moore being smashed in the face at the end - and to be fair, a few times where Moore got ragged all over.
Missed a few other decisions and overall comes across as a smug twat.

Manning going spare and calling it an awful decision, also calling out that they had asked for the ref to be changed. I can see the EFL / FA coming down on him about his reaction after the match.

It wasn’t offside it was impeding a player

Yeah the offside goal was incredibly tight but the angle looking down the line I think he was probably ‘VAR offside’.

Penalty and red for sure. Due to the double jeopardy rule I think there’s an expectation it will only be a yellow, probably what the defender thought.

If he slid in towards the ball and wiped him out, despite being miles away from the ball he may have only got a yellow as an ‘attempt’, but he jumped on his back so never went for the ball !

The red card was an excellent call. It was clear on the replay but he did well to spot it in real time. and brave to penalise the professional foul by Dickie, pulling Moore to the floor before making the tackle. Safe option would have been to give a yellow.

In my view the Campbell goal would have stood with VAR. The Bristol City defender wasn’t trying to play the ball, he went for the foul on Peck instead. Peck looked like he was moving out the way of the ball. He also probably was level with Campbell when he headed the ball.

Overall reffed it well though.

They've said he obstructed the defender preventing him clearing the ball off the line..

the same defender that was dragging peck by the shirt to stop him getting on the end of the cross..

Wank ref, wank lino..bottle Jobs, and then put themselves in the spotlight, so when that red card and pen were awarded, they redressed the balance..

As for Don Goodman. He will get replaced by a woman who knows fuck all about football, and it'll be an upgrade..

Aa for the pen..He makes no attempt for the ball, puts both hands on moores shoulders and pulls him back, moan all they like.. clear as day. You disagree, then maybe stick to netball eh

Is that irrelevant as the ball is played forwards. So he has to be level with the last defender which he wasn't.
The direction of the ball is irrelevant. It's the position of the player in relation to the ball when it's played or touched. You cannot be offside if you are behind the ball. It's as simple as that.

The Ref got most things right I'm not sure about the disallowed goal though the Bristol player was so intent on dragging Peck's shirt of his back he forgot to get goal side. Should have let the goal stand or award a penalty.
The Red card was spot on he dragged Moore down just because afterwards he swung a leg in the general direction f the ball doesn't make it only a yellow card, red all day long.

Why is everyone ignoring Sydie’s shirt being pulled?

He got the big decision right regarding the penalty but after that allowed our players to cleaned out after the ball had been played without so much as a booking.

That Bristol player should be doing a stretch for GBH for that challenge on Moore at the end. Ref bottled that one.

Moore is left at the final whistle with blood coming from his mouth and the ref does fuck all.

It was a good decision for the first disallowed goal but I was still annoyed that a human referee team made a correct decision with VAR level accuracy against us.

Didn't matter in the end but it still stung a bit, even if it was the correct decision!

Yes I was about to say same. Peck is level with Campbell and behind the ball so not offside. Free kick was given for off side not foul by Peck as I understand it. Don’t think Peck fouled Bristol player. But overall ref did well.
