Of course I did, but what I’m saying is that those fans have been conditioned refer to themselves as Leeds, Newcastle and West Ham. To fit in with United/City thing. Because its completely arrogant and lazy. It suggests that one team doesn't exist.

It's mainly because Bristol City have been better than Bristol Rovers for decades and the gas are my second team. Many of my city fan mates have bought into the "one team in Bristol" bollocks and calling them Bristol only makes it worse.

For many years we had a rugby team called Bristol, and we have never had a football team called Bristol (dont get me started on Bristol bears name!).

I would hate it if Bristol Rovers were higher than City and people called us Bristol as well, because City would still exist. It's better to have a rival than none isn't it? Ask Leeds and Leicester etc who have borrowed rivals from other towns. Having rivals makes it more enjoyable.

Man Utd and Man city calling themselves UTD and CITY is the height of arrogance as well. Especially Man u as they are dire this season.

I suspect you would be bothered if Wednesday were called Sheffield if they were in a higher division yes? That's exactly how I feel about it.
