Play-offs it is.

Should we rest some key players and use some kids/reserves to avoid injuries/burn-out?

Try new formations?

Or use our strongest side to try and get some form and confidence back?

I don't think there's much difference finishing 3rd or 4th really so don't care that much if Sunderland overtake us.

Try some tactics that don't rely on a single player pulling a rabbit out of his arse

Try marking on long throw ins

If insisting on playing bombscare, Try and get him into positions where he isn't last man or needing to think what to do when the ball is anywhere near him

How should we approach them??? Like the cowardly way we've approached the last 3

Bin Wilder, leave it to Geary. Can’t do any worse than this clown.

Sack wilder before the playoffs

That's a start.

We did that before sacking Wilson with Morgan taking over.

Not saying it wouldn't work but can't think of anyone else who would do better.

Yes, wilder out… and no I’m not a bedwetter. We have no shape, no tactics, no style of play, and he’s made decent players look wank through coaching out any inkling of skill or progressive action. Midfield totally absent, so we play long ball football to midgits.

Just out in match day thread but if we don’t start to buck up could finish 4th, Sunderland win today and they are 4 points behind

Without wilder !!!!! 4 games for someone to lift them

Someone suggested cooper I'd go with that if he wins the play offs give him a good next season
Unless the owners already have someone in their sights

Perhaps, but by the same token we have nothing to lose by gambling now.

Wilders lost it.

Hamer and Peck definitely need a rest for the next 4

Pick the youth for the last games or would/could the FA punish us?

What's the situation with yellow card count?

Dont we usually win ever game to the play off final then dont turn up?

10 is the lucky number.

I think Wilder will essentially play reserves in the last two - that is the team he puts put for cup games. Why would he risk injuries for games that won't change anything?

I agree but fear we would face punishment from the FA:

Have the rules been changed since then does anyone know?

So if we lose to Blackburn we probably will play Blackburn.

I'd like Davies to start for definite to get some minutes in case something happened to Cooper in the play-offs and to avoid any risk of him getting injured in the match itself.

We need to put a fairly strong team out against Blackburn like we did last night. From a psychological point of view, we don't want to be losing to them right before we possibly face them in the play-offs.

Would it not be better to lose to them with our reserves rather than with our first team?

The only way we play them in the play-offs is if they beat us anyway!

Not for me. I'd rather put a decent side out, beat them and face another team in the play-offs. You don't want to lose to a team and then face them in a play-off semi final in the very next game.
