Burnley failing to control their players and fans.

I've emailed the EFL about the scenes at the end and about the players not being able to get off the coach because of the thugs. And I also said 'and while I'm here, anything happening with SWFC and flash-bang and bottle throwing at our players?'

You can call me all the names under the sun, I don't give a flying, I'm just so pissed off that it's only us that ever gets punished for stuff and other clubs seem to get away with it.

I'll let you know if I get a reply.
Please do!

Cracks me up when some of these so called 'hard' football 'lads' act up and then start squealing like fannies when they get 'some' back at them. Classic school bully mentality, soft as shit once someone lands one on the kisser or the beak 🤣🤣
Imagine running on the pitch getting in the faces of disappointed players and then squealing that one spat (which I'm yet to see any evidence of).

Two.wrongs don't make a right but to my mind any player or staff has their right to defend themselves. I hate spitting but if one of ours had got hold of someone I'd find it hard to criticise them.

Keeping a cool head in terms of on the field incidents with the opposition is one thing but no player should face fans up close on the pitch.

In this day I'm amazed more hasn't been said based on some of the footage out there.

Sadly some of the actions of Wilder this season will make some neutral fans justify it.

Forest mostly got away with it from the EFL as did Everton, and so will Burnley! We got a stand shut for a season after a flare incident a few years ago. Not defending that - but can’t help feeling that we seem to get punished harder than most clubs for similar incidents.

At best, you’ll get the standard template reply, same one they used to send Ainsley

Probably because they'll be a PL team, like Forest were, by the time anyone gets around to looking at it and then no-one at the EFL really cares.

Who cares what a rich ponce says about us? The only people who listen to and believe his shite are those at the lower end of the intelligence scale who think that, because he talks posh, he should be revered.
Thanks for that, just because I listen to TS doesn't mean I'm stupid

If the FA wanted to stop pitch invasions then the threat of a points deduction will stop it in it's tracks. Maybe.

Just waiting for Simon Jordan to come along and put all the blame on United. Bit like he did when it was Billy Sharps fault for letting his face get in the way of the Forest fans forehead.

I remember when this happened, on Talksport.

Jim White was building it up saying how one day a player will be serious injured and he was showing sympathy towards Billy Sharp.

Jordan then explained a close friend who he trusts is or was a director of Nottingham Forest
And he’s assured him that the Sheff United players played a significant role in the fracas.

Well he would wouldn't he?

Yeah he was basically regurgitating that shit today as he has several times

I like Jordan but he hates Sheffield United but that's OK by me
He's a bit of a ponce and we aren't a poncey club

Agree….that was my point….the Forest director is biased and as he’s a friend of Jordan’s then Jordan is bias too.

Never did get to the bottom of that “Forest fan attacks Billy Sharp” incident.
It didn’t seem to receive much publicity as though something was being hidden.
I supposed once it went to court the media weren’t allowed to report on it
Then it all went quiet and was swept under the carpet, like it never happened, didn’t Forest receive a very small fine?

Sad to see United fans blaming our players for what happened on the Sky FB page.

Agree…it’s weird how he doesn’t give us any credit for anything.

I remember last year when the take over deal was going through.
Jim White was saying we’re a massive club and would be an attractive prospect for any new owner wanting to buy a massive club.
Jordan must have pulled a face, so White said “come on Simon, surely you can’t deny that Sheffield United are a big club”

He replied “I accept they are a significant club but they aren’t a Leeds United or even a Sheffield Wednesday”

Think it’s a age thing…Jordan is mid 50’s, so a little younger than me
And I remember for about 2 seasons in the early 90’s Wednesday were the real deal, genuine contenders to win the title.
They were averaging crowds of 28K ish but back then 28K was impressive. So he clearly remembers SW being a really big club and it’s stuck.

He really doesn't like us
Hates wilder always drags up the forest incident with his re-imagining of that night constantly saying we aren't as big as Wednesday and all pretty much unprompted and unprovoked. But like I say everyone is entitled to their opinion

If what Jordan says is true he suggests that Billy Sharp and co, were inciting trouble?
Funny how they were not charged as the only person charged was the muppet who hit Billy, seems mr. Jordan has it wrong again.

Must admit an interview with Jordan and Wilder would be fun, they both have similar sized massive egos

I’ve read his autobiography and he comes across as a horrible narcissistic twat. At least the book has a happy ending when he loses most of his wealth.

He conveniently failed to mention that Brennan Johnson ran to us screaming FUCK OFF when he scored so presumably our fans could be excused for running on too.

Who's the Burnley player sticking his tongue out at HC at the end?

I know. My point was that "they don't try and stay" there.

They had 6 consecutive seasons there which goes against that statement.

Of their 4 relegations, they have bounced back at the first time of asking on 3 occasions.

And with regard to your last sentence, we have never ever bounced back to the 1st division (premier league) at the first time of asking. The quickest we've ever done it was our last promotion there under Heckingbottom. Here's hoping we break that duck in the play offs.
The most we've ever had to wait is 14 years. Somewhat better than our massive neighbours. 26 years and counting for them.

No, he just wants Blades fans to ring in so he can try to humiliate them. Classless pretend poshboy who lost his millions thinking he could run a football club and can’t get over it. Adrian Durham without the wit or charm*

* think about it first…….

I really don’t care about fans and pitch “invasions” ( even though it looked like about 10 of them). You are a professional athelete. That means you conduct yourself professionally, in everything you do. We lost, they are promoted, get off the sodding pitch asap, ignore everything and behave. If some twat giving you the bird is going to wind you up that much, I wouldn’t fancy your chances of completing 90 mins in a big game. The culture and attitude is set by the manager - and he’s, evidently, a prick with no self control
What absolute bollocks on so many levels. If you did happen to be at Turf Moor last night, your observations are laughable and inaccurate.

If you weren't at the game, I'd encourage you to read the accounts of those who were, rather than take the opportunity to slate our manager, players and staff who, through no fault of their own, got caught up in a scary and unpleasant situation.

Your comments are ignorant and lazy because no-one associated with our club, staff or fans, contributed to what happened after the final whistle.

They are normalising pitch invasions and assaulting players on Talksport. It's extremely irresponsible of them. Jordan was wrong about our players at Forest and hasn't apologised yet which shows the measure of the man. He said something asinine like his mate had told him other things went on that explained everything. Mcburnie had a boot on (due to injury)and was limping around and Sharp got battered. His mate telling him other things went on trumped that in his mind. I know he's got a hard on for Wilder but he has a duty to do the basics in his position. No follow up show after Mcburnie's court case...

He's a pompous, pseudo intellectual bore that talks ill informed bollocks most of the time. He's the guy an idiot thinks is intelligent because he uses words with more than two syllables. To hear him educating experts in their field on their business is quite something.
