Burrows,Peck and maybe Hamer I mean!

Campbell and Souza to avoid injuries too? What you reckon

Next game is not dead rubber.

Should we manage to win we will be within a one game swing again. And it's sort of possible to still get autos. So game would be on.

However and I'm not being negative.... I can't see us beating Burnley. At best a draw but I reckon we will lose.

Few reasons of course. Their form is exceptional especially their not losing streak. Ours is not. And they know that if they beat us that's it job done.

We know we kinda of have to win for any slim chance if autos.

True, but we could very well be looking at two dead rubber games after Monday. If so, what should we do? We will want to be going into the playoffs with some sort of momentum, but there are certainly some players who could do with a rest.
I'd rest everyone who is match fit and needs a rest, and play everyone who isn't. I would have rested a few for this evening knowing we have to beat Burnley.

Burnley game is far from a dead rubber. Agreed it’s all over if we don’t win - but we have to go for it. They are 30 games unbeaten & have ridden their luck a few times - so you never know. Plus - because we will have to play to win - rather than set up to avoid defeat, I fancy we will score at least 1 goal. Probably be a draw but fingers crossed.

So you are advocating resting our best players on Monday and effectively just handing Burnley promotion? when a win would put us 2 points behind with 2 games left?

blackburn maybe. but we need to wins to breed confidence to go into Coventry / Middlesbrough

I totally get the idea of resting some players for the playoffs. But it's a fine line because you want to keep these players sharp. That's the problem Sunderland has been facing for a few weeks now.

Rest all that need a break. We need to be firing in the play offs.

We don't need to risk key players chasing a miracle.

There will be two dead rubber games, if Burnley beat us and Leeds don't lose to Stoke.

Should that happen, then I would see those games as a chance to rest a few and maybe try some new combinations up front.

It's tricky though, because you don't want to go into a 2 leg knockout, in bad form. So I wouldn't expect a lot of changes.

I think it comes down to the performance vs Burnley more than the result. If we give a good account of ourselves but only draw or lose then let some key players rest.

If we get spanked then we'll need to try and pick up more results before play offs for both team and supporter morale making it harder to rest players.

Go all out Monday and see where we are. Burnley were crap yesterday and deserved to drop points, granted they didn’t but their reaction yesterday showed they’re feeling the pressure. Lose on Monday then yeah I’d rest the lot

Who would you like in playoffs

Preferably none.🤣

Way we are playing I don't think it's a case of who's the hardest team to play, more a case of how shit are we, shit enough to lose to the other three pretty easily unfortunately at this minute in time.

I think we have to go for it against Burnley. Wilder will hate to see them promoted in front of our players that have worked so hard for the same thing.

If we've somehow beaten Burnley, and they inexplicably lose away to QPR in the midday midday kick off on Saturday (we KO @ 20:00), then we obviously have to go for it.

If neither of the above two (highly unlikely) scenarios play out, we treat them as dead rubbers.

We play Friday night at Stoke after Burnley
