Interesting remaining fixtures.

Room for one more twist?

Have a look at the remaining fixtures and corresponding results

Burnley:
Watford (a) - won 2-1
Blades (h) - won 2-0
QPR (a) - drew 0-0
Millwall (h) - lost 1-0

Leeds:
Oxford (a) - won 4-0
Stoke (h) - won 2-0
Bristol C (h) - drew 0-0
Plymouth (a) - won 3-0

Blades:
Cardiff (h) - won 2-0
Burnley (a) - lost 2-0
Stoke (h) - won 2-0
Blackburn (a) - won 2-0

The last week shows you can’t stake your house on this but you’d say that Leeds look pretty good based on past encounters. Bristol City might be seen as a dangerous game and then if they need to beat Plymouth and the latter need to win to stay up it could take the story to the final day, but you’d need two unexpected reversals.

Burnley is an interesting one though. They only took 4 points from the non-Blades games. A repeat would advance them to 92. I’m sure Millwall would be willing party poopers too. Point is there are droppable points in the lot. Watford home record is W12D3L6. Not the worst record by any means. QPR’s is W7D8L6. Again, not terrible and they have had spells of good form there.

If the Football Gods could just fuck of for the Easter Weekend and leave us be for once, there is a possibility even slight that we could squeeze in.

But we have to help ourselves, for all the two points talk, we’ve so far given Leeds 6 points and Burnley 3. Even one result our way out of the prior 3 meetings and we’d be top two right now.

I can seriously see one of those other teams taking points of Burnley and it will all come down to whether we can finally show up in a big game.

We’ve just got to find that belief.

Honestly, stats and predictions count for piss all for me.

While autos are still technically possible then anything can happen in this game. The other two could crumble like we have, they might think they're home and dry, god knows.

Just to reiterate I don't think that's likely but it is possible. We've orchestrated our own downfall here so while I'm disappointed I can't exactly be pissed off, just here for the ride now really. See what happens

Could still be any two of the three that get auto's. Our fate will be decided this weekend it's not over just yet.
Not sure we get anything at Burnley away, if we win at Cardiff we give ourselves a chance of going there and righting a couple of wrongs in the past few weeks.

Whilst i do think it's a big ask to beat Burnley it's not impossible and no one expected Plymouth or Oxford to beat us so it can happen.

Squad needs a kick up the arse and a re jig for friday though.

Playing decent players out of position to shoe horn them all in to a starting 11 isn't going to get us up.

Let's be honest it would be very United to lose against Cardiff to make it 4 on the bounce, pretty much confirm their place in the play offs then go to Burnley and win with a blinding performance.

If we got autos I will carry a triple aluminium ladder manufactured in China without safety certificates to anyone’s house and clean their gutters out wearing stiletto healed shoes whilst blindfolded

This thread has by far exceeded my expectations already 🤣

Love it. One way or another we are going up. Too many quitters coming to the fore. 🤨⚽😍🍺🍸❤️☀️ Promotion is soon. We deserve it and it’s happening.

Wow

What a vision

At least Burnley are now conceding goals so who knows what can happen in their last games

Let it go. The remaining fixtures are only relevant in regards to which one of the current top two wins the league.

Another annoying thing about throwing that away on Saturday is the fact that we could have been above Leeds before they next play.....they kick off late on Friday.

We all know how they handle that sort of pressure at Elland Road!

Best chance of autos

Burnley will of course win the next 3, we have to win the next 3 and so do Millwall

Going into the last match we have to beat Blackburn and Millwall have to beat Burnley to get playoffs.

Chance of that happening >1%

Just let it go, and concentrate on getting the team ready for Wembley.

I wondered who that was down our street the other day 56🤔
I guess it was your practice run just incase😁

Always room for a twist but we have to win all 4. Burnley's fixtures look tricky, Watford still have an outside chance of Play offs and have 3 very winnable games after Burnley, Millwall may well need a result last day and QPR is never easy. That been said the are very good at what they do fully deserve to be where they are. Leeds are always capable of chucking a surprise one in and are playing 4 sides who still have something to play for. I would say unlikely but you never know

Just beat Cardiff at home.

Let’s see if the Friday fixture can create a bit of scoreboard pressure.

Then it’s one of cup games almost.

Let’s just keep it interesting for as long as possible.

They are a good side, Burnley but they’re not unbeatable. I thought Norwich were awful first half. The first goal two players ball watched and including the keeper three of them managed to let one Burnley player almost walk it in unchallenged. The second was a flukey deflection that gave the keeper no chance. As soon as Norwich decided to be a bit more purposeful they wilted a bit, buckled under pressure at a corner and if there was another goal it was going to Norwich. Plus Sainz missed two one v ones against the keeper. Norwich were so abject but they may have got a point with a little more composure. They had chances.

Who’s going to tell him

Fuck me , how did I miss that 🤣, Burnley win 2 of the next 3 losing to us, meaning Burnley have to lose 2 of next 4, not happening.
