Hello all. Just popping in to let you guys know what kind of way we will playing, what kind of team we will be playing & what you can expect from us. For those interested anyway...

A Billy Davies side. I think you all know what that means: A team set out to annoy the home fans, very very hard to break down and a team very hard to beat, sometimes I believe Billy Davies deliberately becomes a cock just to take the attention off the players and it certainly shows by his track record most places he's gone.

Anyway... Currently we are on a 'Billy run' (A run of unbeaten games, he seems to time them at good times and always has one in a season, currently on 16). For the past few months we have been playing 4-2-3-1 which has been working fantastic and isn't necessarily a counter attacking formation but more keeping knocking until they get tired or we walk it in.

We may be resting players. Not excessive resting, but resting players non the less simply due to our injury list and we CANNOT risk anymore injuries. This season has been the worst I can remember of any club, we have FIVE of our first choice players (and best players) out injured, and that's huge for any team. Not only are they out, but they are all long-term injuries.
  • Captain: Chris Cohen. Nobody is as consistent in the Championship. Doesn't do the extraordinary, but is so consistent his work often goes un-noticed. In my personal opinion he is our best player. He's out until next season.
  • Henri Lansbury. Don't need to say a whole load, him & Reidy have been credited several times as the best pairing in the league and they work brilliantly together. He's out until the end of the season.
  • Kelvin Wilson. Signed for £2.5million from Celtic but not hugely missed due to the incredible appearance of Jamal Lascelles.
  • David Vaughan. The Welsh Xavi.
  • Eric Lichaj. Pushed Chilean international Gonz Jara out the team at the start of the season.
That's our injury list. It should be crippling our season but surprisingly we are adapting well without that bunch.

This is how we will probrably line up:

Those middle three often rotate all match and they are the key players. When all fit we have Lansbury, Vaughan & Reid and they are unstoppable together. Reid will obviously be the more attacking of the three but he is a changed player, and our key player. And yes, those are fullbacks. Out of possession they will be deeper but in possession they are literally wing forwards, especially Gonzalo Jara who bombs down the wings, but he may be in midfield due to our current injury crisis.

Andy Reid is extremely slimline and a changed player, in the best form of his career. This sums up what he is doing this season in a 5 second clip. He is the key of our team at the moment. When he clicks, everybody else does. Get tight on him or he will punish you.

Another one to watch is Jamie Paterson. I had my questions about him at the start of the season but ever since he got a hatrick against a youthful West Ham team he has been quality. He seems very lightweight and needs to bulk up, but he has incredibly close dribbling skills, he will weave in & out of players and leave them on their arses.

Finally: Rafik Djebbour. It may be a little pre-mature adding him as a 'one to watch' but he is not even match fit yet and getting starts every match which sums up how highly Davies rates him with the likes of Darius Henderson & Simon Cox on our books. Usually Davies gives players a month or two to get in his teams, but he is straight in and can finish chances very well which is what we have been crying out for all season. He's had one shot in three games and got the one goal, but he may come alive in this match. His goal record is something to be aware off: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Rafik_Djebbour

I also have a question for you guys as I will be coming on Sunday (assuming the match will be on)... Where can away fans go about parking around the ground? It will be my 3rd visit to Bramal Lane but I can't for the life of me remember where we parked before and with us selling out our allocation about 3 times their may be a lot looking for spaces.

Anyway, hope to have let you guys know more about us and who to watch out for on Sunday. See you later.

Parking. Get yourself up the m1, all the way to the top mind you, then it becomes the m621. There's a big ground on your left, turn off the motorway when you see it. Anywhere off the motorway should do it.

Just stop on the scabbshire border before it turns into YORKSHIRE.
Not interested in how your teams playing and all the bumfest that goes with it.
No offence - YORKSHIRE YORKSHIRE YORKSHIRE

Nice to see Forest sell out their allocation.....particularly after their shite support at PNE in the last round. Must be the attraction of playing the Blades.

At least this one actually has a bit of decorum even if he is blowing his own trumpet, watched the first leg against Preston and think Forest under-estimated them and all this talk of frustrating the opposition, it was Preston frustrating forest. That said I agree that they do have a good bit of quality and it will be a tough test but we have shown in the last two rounds that we like the big games.

As I said at least this one is trying to post sensibly, on other boards over the last few days the dickheads among their support have been spouting off about how they are going to come up and take over Sheffield etc and some saying how they are intent in causing a bit of aggro. Keep an eye on the muppets on the "Forest Executive Crew" facebook page which is linked on another forum. Absolute, morons, cretins and overall full blown tossers, no need!

Ooh, thanks for "popping in" that's great.

Best parking on the outskirts and getting a bus in. Try Kiveton Park, Wales, Maltby or Wombwell. They all love you Tree folk in those parts - go and have a pre-match pint while you're there.

Enjoy your big day out...

Yes thanks for taking the trouble Nick. Don't think you'll frustrate us, we just waited for Fulham to give the ball away (68% possession) then bombed forward. We know all about Darius and Andy Reid will be an interesting battle with Maguire. We don't expect to win but will certainly be up for it.

No offence to the OP, but why do so many find it difficult to spell Bramall Lane correctly? Even people in the area...

NFFC Nick we know Halford, Reid and Henderson very well from their time at the lane. Halford and Reid in particular were quality and wish we'd signed both.

It'll be interesting to see how Clough lines us up against you. He obviously knows your lot well having played you before he was sacked from derby.

We should be quite well refreshed by Sunday and it'll no doubt be a heavy pitch

I am going to stick my neck out and say...Rain

I know what's a good idea. Lets set up a 'hooligan' facebook page and lets all join it with our facebook profiles, which have basically every piece of personal info about yourself on it as possible. What we'll then do is post loads of photos and tag ourselves in them, while we make outlandish statements about what we're planning on down on our 'hooligan roadshow'.

It doesn't matter if it kicks off at all, the old bill aren't clever enough to check any CCTV coverage against our photos on facebook which we have already conveniently tagged ourselves in, saving the police all the hard work.

Seriously my mind absolutely fucking boggles at the levels of intelligence these cretins display.

To be honest i feel the opening post wasn't that bad, I'm an ex-miner, I stayed on strike for 54 weeks at Highmoor colliery and I hate them with a passion, but one on it wasn't a bad post.
If I was him id drive to Meadowhell, park free, then catch tram to city centre and get pissed.

Excellent post, would have been great to have one like that about our opponents every week. Despite the injuries, that team looks well balanced. I went to Forest vs Brighton last season, where Forest played a very narrow diamond formation and had full backs who rarely went forward. They struggled without real width, but they seemed to have addressed that now.

Be so happy for you that Mr Davis will be able to focus solely on promotion after Sunday , only too pleased we can remove the distraction of the FA cup for you , Nigel sends his love

We play better against really good opposition as beating 2 prem sides shows , so we expect a struggle on Sunday

Wouldn't that leave him stranded at MeadowHall too pissed to drive home? ;)

The crowd at BDTBL was always hot on foul throws but I don't think I ever heard another crowd - at a ground or on TV - calling them.

You give up in the end I guess.
There used to be cries of anguish around me in the JSS about such things now but rarely happens in any numbers these days.

'Going with @joeroot05 to Sheff Utd Vs Forest on Sunday. What's the ruling these days on sitting in the Sheff Utd end in Forest shirt?'

I believe the official ruling is:

If you've just returned from an Ashes tour having covered yourself in personal and team glory, then go ahead, national heroes can get away with most things (we might even name a stand after you if we win).
If you've played like a complete twat and surrendered in an, almost, unforgivable way, then best keep yourself a bit incognito as you're as welcome as woodworm in Douglas Baders crutches.

Forest are better than the Fulham team we played, they are very solid attacking team. They will bring more fans and Davies hates Clough therefore will want to beat him. I can see the best result for us being a draw, which in hindsight is probably the worst result for us.
