Enjoyed it again, thanks.

1: United, along with Wolves, Burnley, Preston and Portsmouth are the only teams to have won all 4 divisions. Agree when promoted we’ve almost always been 2nd in the 2nd tier but we were champions of div 2 in 1953 but since the 2nd tier had a name change to Championship we’ve not won the championship.

2: Interesting discussion comparing Arblaster to Peck.
Agree, Arblaster is better offensively and has a higher ceiling. Arblaster at his best is PL standard but he can be inconsistent.
Peck is more of an all rounder, good at everything midfield related but not outstanding/ PL standard at anything.
However let’s not forget it’s Pecks 1st season (which is remarkable, he’s been thrown into the deep end sink or swim) so you would expect him and Arblaster to improve over the years. Also Peck (and Arblaster) for that matter have a fantastic, give 100% attitude playing like they are fans of the club.
Think we are so lucky to have both. Those 2 could be our midfield pairing in the PL for years to come and they were both home grown, so cost us nothing.

3: Chad seems to be writing off our chances if we’re in the PL next season (which is understandable) but I wouldn’t be so certain.
Last season our preparation under Hecky and the Prince was terrible, we bought all our players late in the season and lost our 2 best players N’Diaye and Berge a week before the season started. It was shocking that in our 1st match against Palace the team was so much weaker than the promotion side.
A massive positive is we will be much better prepared next season. Our manager Wilder has seen with his own eyes as recently as last season what’s needed.
He will have learnt so much from last season and will already be planning for next season regards players and playing style if we’re promoted.

4: Loved the “Ryan Brewster” comment from Chad, agree he’s like a new player but it’s still too early to say “he’s the player we thought we bought”.

Yeah, we probably should have rightly said United have never won “The Championship”.

On the Double Jeopardy question, it's probably worth understanding the history behind the law.

Prior to 1990 there wasn't even a concept of a Professional Foul (or Denial of a Goalscoring Opportunity) in the laws - although there had been conversations as early as 1980 about the issue. The only sanction a ref could apply in a DoaGSO situation was a yellow card, unless the challenge itself warranted a red (e.g. serious foul play)

Post 1990, if you Denied a clear Goalscoring Opportunity, you would be issued a red card. This sanction was whether the offence occured just inside your own half or in the penalty area - and in the latter case it represented the aforementioned Double Jeopardy. The law operated in this manner, with a few grumblings along the way, for 26 years, until 2016 when the double jeopardy element was introduced. It's safe to say there were probably occasions when most clubs in that 26 years benefited from the rule as it was, and also were penalised by it

Now, if you Denied a clear Goalscoring Opportunity you would be issued a red card, unless it resulted in a penalty AND there was a genuine attempt to play the ball, in which case you would receive a yellow. In the absence of a genuine attempt to play the ball (or Indeed deliberate handball) you would still receive a red card.

It is this last part that meant Dickie HAD to be sent off. Whilst he made an attempt to play the ball, this was only after he had already dragged Moore back.

Appreciate the history lesson, mate. Genuinely didn’t know how recent the change was.

Thanks and I'll give it a listen. No need to do a 'deep dive' though, as just talking bollocks, seems to work for most of us.
