Watch out Burnley are coming

I do think they’ll over take us this weekend, Preston has Banana skin all over it, and they aren’t getting anything other than a win against Luton.

Massive pressure on us to win against Preston.

The way Burnley transition from defence to attack makes Campbell, Diaz, Ohare and Hamer look like Olympic sprinters.

Itsssssss soooooooo slowwwwwwww and dullllllllll

Disagree - I think we and Burnley will both win comfortably against Preston & Luton respectively.

However the next midweek games against Bristol City for us & WBA for Burnley may see points dropped somewhere.

It’s not unreasonable to expect Luton to pull the odd result out of the bag.

They are the relegated side that lost the fewest players and in fact have a net spend since relegation.

They still possess Morris, Adebayor and Doughty. It’s not impossible they could help us out.

Luton also had a decent number of chances against us. Their horrendous lack of accuracy can't go on forever.

Burnley were awful , second half they rode their luck as Cardiff dominated

and after 6 months of only conceding 9 goal they've let in 4 in 2 game

They weren't arsed about the cup and made loads of changes so those goals are irrelevant really. Plus if you're counting those you have to add 3 more goals conceded in the cups to those 9 in the league!

Wasn't a bad side they turned out .it was a local derby at Preston and it was for a quarter final place....irrelevant .moot point

Clear that they were rightly prioritising their automatic promotion chances over a moneyspinning but disruptive cup quarter final. Still don't think they're clinical enough to get top two to be honest, too many goalless draws. Blades look more than capable of scoring and holding on for 1-0 wins, but Burnley seem to have trouble with that first goal, with a "normal" defence they'd be well off the pace.

I saw the highlights of Burnley v Wednesday a few weeks ago and Wednesday missed a number of clear cut chances. This Burnley defence will be severely breached some time soon.

You know dem Blades.

A 46 game marathon is going to be decided by our 2-point deduction and a 6-pointer at Turf Moor on Easter Monday.

Lose that and we're fucked - insufficient games left to recover.

Win it and we have a decent chance.

A draw and it probably goes to the last game of the season , in which we're hoping that Blackburn are safely in the POs , want to rest players and fuck up their local rivals.

No one can say that following the Blades is boring.
In every one of the last 9 seasons , there's been a real prospect of a promotion or relegation.

Few other clubs could say that.

We do have eight matches before playing Burnley.

We might already have top spot mathematically guaranteed by then... 👀

I admire your optimism but both teams have been within touching distance of each other for virtually the whole season and , barring a significant deviation from that , it's probably going to the last match of the season...

And at least as far as Easter Monday.

It was just a "might" not actually genuine optimism!

I do feel confident, but obviously it's on a knife edge. I hope gamblers aren't gambling either way.

lets hope Burnley are getting a nice habit of conceding and the flood gates open, turn all their future 0-0 draws into narrow defeats

The quandary is, with their injuries in defence, do we want them out or do we want them back?!

They were slamming Iorfa in the game he got injured. Lowe got injured not defending particularly well.
