Tyrese Campbell

I don't think we are ever going to see a full 90. That's not necessarily a bad thing but I want him to have more than 70 minutes regularly eventually!
While we can manage that Campbell can only do say 60 minutes in a match, how did we ever get to a stage where professional footballers/athletes cannot compete 90 minutes regularly. This is not just at the Lane either.

Did we ever see that when Woody, Edwards, Deano were playing regularly ? Seems the stress on modern day players is greater than say 30 years ago - or are the players not as fit as they were back in the day ?

The game is much faster and intense as back in the day. Watch the "quality goal from a quality player" goal back now and it looks like walking football

Looked like he got back to his best last night, or at least close to his best.

Obviously the next step for him is to get his fitness up so we can get some 80-90 minute games out of him, something for him to work on in the summer perhaps?

Is anyone honestly surprised that this lad has become our first choice striker over the likes of Moore, Cannon and Brewster?

Good player. Capable of taking balls to feet or in the air, good touch to turn players and good technique to run at them and either pass or finish too. A gripe about fitness and health but he’s clearly our best striker.

I wish he’d done a bit better on that chance which Meslier smothered, mind. Might be harsh but it felt like he could’ve gambled to get there before him.

Campbell has been an excellent signing.

What actually was/is his injury problem and at what point do we expect to get continual 90 minute games out of him ?

Genuine question.

You’ll never get that from him. You’ll get odd games and short stretches but whatever the reason (I don’t really know), he can’t keep up long runs of starting and playing full games. It’s just the rough you have to take with the smooth with the player unfortunately

Absolute peach! I said he'd need to start bagging again a couple of weeks ago if he wanted to be starting games during the end of season run-in and thankfully he has.
With Diaz bagging regularly too it seems like Rak-Sakyi is the one that will be benched more often in these last 11 games. Nice to see some players on the bench that are worth getting excited about, that's how it should be!

Nobody else at the club other than Hamer or maybe Burrows would pop one in the top corner like that. Hope he stays fit. Proper striker.

Souza will do sooner or later. He's probably going to break the goal in half when he does

Arblaster has that ability too. But obviously he's injured

Watched the match on laptop, I thought the ball had gone elsewhere and Tyrese was running to take a corner (confused me as Harrison usually takes corners from the right) wondered why he raised his left arm, when Sydie jumped on his back I then realised he had scored as I didnt see the ball go into the net.

Same here!
The lack of enthusiasm from the QPR commentator on our stream also confused me 😜

Specsavers have some appointments next week. 😆

Comes in as backup to Moore, with the pressure on his shoulders at restarting his career at a new club, especially after some tragic news last summer.

Now he's our first choice striker and probably in the best form of his career.

The cost is irrelevant to fans.
Not really, as fans it’s important that our club uses the limited resources they have wisely. Granted we’re not paying for it, but we don’t want to see money spunked up the wall on poor signings that ultimately leads to hardship and a worse league ranking than if it was spent wisely.

Players in the old days used to smoke for goodness sake! lol
