Yep - I hate Leeds as much as anyone having to work with a few up here….but that is a fantastic result for us. Yes I’d love us to win the title - but the real prize is the place in the Premier League & £170 million.

That result pretty much ends Sunderland’s hopes. Can’t see them overcoming an 8 point swing. 3 horse race now - but we need to at least draw next Monday to stop Leeds pulling away.

We need to be more of a threat than last time that’s for sure… if we sit back and defend we will be out of it before half time … but we need to get the balance right .. we need to be brave in possession and play out and around them

I think you'll get 3rd mate I'm sure. Burnley draw far too many games to sustain their charge and will drop to 4th - not that it matters as 3rd and 4th both get the advantage in the play offs.

Sunderland played the perfect first 45 minutes then showed naivety in sitting back second half trying to play their way out of defence. We've had more than our fair share of luck so spozzy Weeds got their share tonight. While ever Weeds have Meslier, Bogle and Amapdu in defence we have a chance but our achilles heel is our defence's aversion to pace Anel apart.

We all want to go at them and we have the midfield and forward players to do it but more convinced now CW will go with a 3 at the back to counter the pace of James and Solomon. What we can't do is let them come onto us as tonight showed they will eventually wear you down and have quality off the bench.

Weeds are susceptible at the back to rapid pace and a big bruiser CF as Pompey showed first game this season. Unfortunately our pace merchant and bruiser Seriki and Moore have been out injured. They would be very good options from the bench if fit on Monday.

A real test now of our credentials as promotion candidates. So much for the Elland Road roar . Quiet as mice until they equalised.

Sunderland showed their defence is nothing special, but sit back for 70 minutes and they will eventually break you down. We need to attack them from the off - if we lose we lose but I’d much rather see us go down fighting than waving the white flag because it’s big scary Leeds United like we did back in the autumn

Sunderland lost it as they had no possession in midfield and played too deep which in turn invited Leeds onto them and allowed them to dominate.

It wasn't helped with the Sunderland players constantly trying to do little flicks and turns (and thus losing it again and again cheaply) rather than playing the simple ball to a teammate. All it resulted in was the Sunderland defence getting tired and then knocking long balls to no one. So the ball kept coming back...

Needed some presence in midfield, maybe another player in there for Sunderland, and it would have resulted in Leeds playing 20 yards deeper. Tactically poor by their manager. You need to get at Leeds and make them play deep where they aren't comfortable. There to see for CW tonight. Surely he'll have us up and at em?

Well we got what we deserved - nothing. Really poor second half display and 3 terrible substitutions.

That's us 10 points behind Leeds and 8 behind you lads which means season over as regards automatics. It's now about accumulating what we need for the play offs. 13 games of nothing really to play out.

My two sons and I were waiting for the injury time choker. you cant sit back and defend all half and not expect to pay the price. Cant really begrudge Leeds the win and we brought it on ourselves.

I didn't see Sunderland intentionally sitting back in the second half, they just got suffocated and couldn't get out. Leeds do that to most teams when they're winning, never mind when they're behind.
