Cheers Roy! What a difference a year makes indeed! Before the same fixture last season they were fucking full of themselves. So arrogant and dismissive of us and Wilder especially with sandwichgate a few weeks before hand. These two genuinely made me want to punch my laptop screen in having previously had a soft spot for Luton!

We/Sunderland have just played them at home. They were absolutely shite. Looked to me as though they have settled for relegation and had the look of SAFC about them when we dropped through 2 divisions. Can't see any result but a Sheffield United win by 4 or 5.

You can't base a prediction on watching just the one game.

I'll take anything that sees us win. You would expect that Luton will be well up for this, they are running out of time so it may not be a walk in the park as the table may suggest.

Exactly this. No sitting back to see whwat happens, no laying off the gas, just no mercy if we go a goal up.

This should be the game plan for the remaining games. We have the talent and now numbers to do this.

Luton have always been one of those 'meh' teams to me but their fans treatment of Norrington-Davies when he was badly injured at their ground left a sour taste and I hope they rot.

A chap i work with marshalls at Luton during games, he said the atmosphere and feeling around the place is horrible at the moment, glum and not getting better.

I feel for them slightly but hopefully we can march on and get three important points to add to the tally.

Don't understand why they r doing so badly as on paper they've got some good players. I'd have Adebayo at the Lane, always liked him, plus Morris and Dogherty are still decent.

It is crazy how our fortunes have reversed in the year since our last visit. Went into that match thinking Luton would beat not only us but the drop. Then this year they seemed to have a team easily capable of another play-off push while we had to start again from scratch.

When clubs in a downward spin its difficult to stop it .. we should know it’s happened to us on 3 occasions in during my time supporting us . Think Barkley’s departure left a big whole in their midfield & a confidence side , once they got a few defeats on the spin that evaporated.
Anel & Robbo will get a test tmmw aerially if Morris & Adebayo are fit .
Play like we did against Middlesbrough & get hold of the game from the off we’ll have too much for them .
Our performance against them at home for me was probably one of the best of the season 2-0 could easily have been 6 .

Their team was hugely dependant last year on Barkley. He was a driving force to move them forward. Then they also had pace and good off the ball movement in the likes of Ogbene, Townsend and Doughty. Those 4 have all either failed to deliver, or have left the club entirely since last season. Only Doughty is contributing anything close to the standards he did last year.

It also doesn't help that their biggest issue last year was their defensive frailty, and the only real transfer they made to help combat that, was McGuinness from Cardiff. Much of their recruitment has been in midfield. Any defensive signings they did make besides the aforementioned McGuinness, have tended to be young players. They brought Kal Naismith on loan from Bristol City in Jan, but I really doubt that he'll make much difference.

It doesn’t matter because we have already proved that we can play shite and still take 3 points. Lots of fans on here told me to look at the league table after Portsmouth embarrassed us and still lost!
