Warnock quote about Leeds

Arse licking Daniel fry claiming he’s best centre half he’s ever had

"Well people say they hated me but the grandkids had shirts, best fans in the world, salt of the earth, I'm sure the dogshit they posted through my letterbox was a complete accident"

"Marching all together, up there with you'll never walk alone, play it in the car sometimes almost crash with the tears streaming down my face"

I like Warnock but he's not a great pundit. He insisted on showing off his new shoes last night, after telling the same anecdote about Cooper that he did last time. I'm sure they put him on for the comedy value as opposed to his punditry. He said he watched our game against Portsmouth, and I genuinely wanted to hear his take on it but he was too busy raving about the Boro players.

Yeah I noticed and he wasnt very complimentary about us either. Wondered if it is a jealousy thing with Wilder stemming from the Middlesboro job change. Given he is meant to be a fan he could have been a bit more supportive.

He was noticably chirpy at the final whistle. He enjoyed seeing us win, but he doesn't like Wilder and seems reluctant to compliment his teams too much

Didn't put the game on until after we'd kicked off last night, so didn't realise he was a pundit (though I probably should have - Sky seem to use him anytime they show one of our games). Saw him at half time, and was half-tempted to turn it off.

He's just awful. Properly awful. To busy blowing smoke up his own arse to provide any worthwhile insight about the game he's allegedly there to provide commentary about. I'd rather they bring Garth Crookes in - at least he'd talk about the game, even though it'd probably be incorrect.

He's not a fan. He's just an arsehole.

It's possible to be both a fan AND an arsehole. (Actually we have plenty of those.)

If you read Warnock's book he says he used to go on the kop and to some away games. He was definitely brought up a Blade.

In Colin's world it's all about Colin. He was never happier than putting a shit team out against Man utd then enjoying a bottle of wine with Ferguson, that was always his ambition. That and tractors. I said something worse but intercourse with tractors is apparently 86% toxic 🙄

Let's be frank, he was responsible for some of the dullest football most of us have ever seen, he also thought Monty n Legs of Wood was a pairing.

He single handedly got us relegated with his non football away from home in 06/07.

In later years he's turned into a jealous old cunt about any success we have and has never been a real Blade he claims he is.

Is it any worse than some of what Hecky, Wilson and at times even Wilder have served up? And they’re our successful ones.

He’s also responsible for some of the best days a blade. I get he’s very abrasive (politely) but there were many good times under Warnock

He is awful, what are SKY thinking still using him as a pundit. I have met him and found him pretty unlikeable.

It's always all about him, I have seen nothing since he left to suggest he has any love for the Blades

His brother John on the other hand is a smashing, humble, friendly fella. Absolute polar opposite.

Bit like allardyce then.

I like Warnock, I’ll never stop liking Warnock. He’s amusing in the way your grandad telling nonsensical stories is. Is he self centred and and an awful pundit? Sure, but I still enjoy seeing him on the telly.
It’s funny , I like him more the further away we get from him managing us. He is a complete narcissist (as are all the best managers) but is funny with it (unlike the raging Klopp, the petulant Pep, the curmudgeonly Postecoglou). Even when he was ranting post-match, there was always a bit of humour.

He has his faults but I will always have fond memories of Warnock. Was manager for my first game (WBA away, 01/02) as a nipper, and got us to the promised land of the PL, a season which I have so many great memories of (Jags vs Boro, 3-0 vs West Ham etc)

I never really considered him - and still don't - a proper blade though.

Think that’s viewing it with rose-tinted spectacles! His post-match interviews were embarrassing, always finding someone else to blame (normally the referee). Think it’s only in later years that he’s brought the humour in, I certainly don’t remember much of it at United.

I don’t know how serious this was, but a few years ago I was told by a high profile manager that Warnock used to take his wife to the annual LMA dinner because that was the only way he would have someone to talk to such was the disdain with which he was regarded by his contemporaries. This manager told me a lot of other stories about Warnock which I won’t be repeating on here 😂.

Can you repeat them in S2 premium?

It's almost as though working 18 hours a day 7 days a week in an ultra high profile, multi billion pound industry managing dozens of massive egos at a time requires a certain abrasivness of personality and an ability to detach yourself emotionally from matters. Of course he's a bit of a c**t. He's a football manager.

Terrible pundit, but we had some fantastic times under him - once he got us going we were a great watch; high tempo, aggressive and combative. With budgetary constraints that was probably as good as we could be.

If Hulse didn’t get injured we would’ve have comfortably stayed up that year IMHO.

Neil Warnock is first and foremost a Neil Warnock fan Always has been always will be.

He was however along With Bassett and Wilder one of the three club saving managers in my life time .. all the right men who thankfully came along and the right time, I will always be grateful for that

My thoughts too. He used to be at least somewhat coherent regardless of where you liked him or not.
Yeah, he doesn't seem present either, when he is not talking. Something not quite right, but I am no doctor (evidently!).

He did turn us around but it took nearly 8 years, playing a very turgid style of football and a turnover of god knows how many players some of whom got bombed out for no apparent reason.

The touchline antics and berating of every match official were totally embarrassing and who can ever forget the Battle of Bramall Lane which was thuggery at its finest and was instigated by the manager.

We did have many highs as well as lows in his time at the club but the PL season was ultimately a xompletet disaster.

When he talks about us nowadays its like he cannot comment in any positive way and he cant wait to praise everybody else - very bizarre.
