I forgot we paid a lot of money to not see Luke Freeman ever play. That was a bit of a waste.

Not sure how they're figuring that all the 2019-20 signings would be worth exactly the same in today's money. Can't just be my imagination that asking prices across the board have rocketed in the last 5 years.

Rob Hulse at north of £10 mill, on the other hand, makes Cannon's price tag make more sense

Willie Falconer centre forward?

What a load of rubbish

Always wondered what Adrian Littlejohn would have been worth today with the stats of his first PL season. 8 goals in a struggling side and scored a few in the cup.
Could see a team offering 15-20 million after the first year?

Wonder how much tc and woody etc. Would be worth 🤔

We sold TC to Leeds for about £250k. The record fee at the time was about £300k (Latchford I think Silent Blade?) So work TC out according to the current record fee. By my calculations it's about £90m

Just to be clear, this is a made up 'football inflation' calculation that has no relationship to actual inflation. The fact that they haven't explained how they arrive at their values mean it's not a particuarly informative dataset. "We took a load of transfers, multiplied them by a secret number, and this is the result".

They suggest that the value of transfer fees almost quadrupled 2007-2017, and then have basically remained the same since, which seems to be nonsense.

All the players you mention were equally essential to the teams they played in.
When it comes down to individual skill, I've watched them all, Hagan needs to be priced at £90,000, he was just that fraction a better footballer than T.C., and that's saying something as both were in the top echelon of their day.

Bargain of the century. Similar price to Cooper and although Cooper is a very good keeper he's not anywhere near as good as AK was (although could be in time).
