In that context, surely the 4th Round of the FA Cup is a one off every single season? :p

Sorry fella, I don't want to go around in ever decreasing circles. See this in any context that makes you happy, just support the idea of a reduced ticket price on the day, it makes a great deal of sense to the club, and especially to those fans who are struggling financially UTB

A fiver for Season Ticket holders - A tenner for adults anywhere in the ground - Free for under sixteens and pensioners. Hopefully, this should produce a gate of @ 25,000.

I appreciate that the opponents are required to have their input into ticketing prices but come on, both Norwich and Fulham are established Premier League teams so they're not exactly strapped for cash and it would give their fans an incentive to travel to Sheffield for the game.

Personally, I don't think we should take our eye off the league here. It is very easy to get caught up in cup fever but let's get some fans through the door for the league from now till the end of the season. Football is a habit that a lot of blades have got out of so let's get fans into the ground between now and the end of the season by hook or by crook.

I know I have moaned about the cheap games this season because it could end up being cheaper than what us season ticket holders pay, however in this instance we could be giving the club the kick it needs for next season.

There is a guide price in the FA Rules for a minimum of £15 adults, unless mutually agreed otherwise.

Which is why £15 is often the set "cheap" price.

I don't think £15 is going to fill out the stadium. Never needed to do it myself but a few moons ago, however for the derby games we made people have to buy 2 other league games in a package. How successful were those and if we brought the price of a league game down or two would this type of deal bring fans through.

The rules regarding ticket prices changed this year. No longer need the away club to agree the price.

Competition Proper
Immediately after the draw is known, the Club playing at home shall decide on the
prices of admission, subject to a minimum price of £10.00 for all spectators other than concessions.

£15 for adults
£5 for kids (under 16)

£10 for season ticket holders if they bring a friend (friend pays £15) or
£15 for season ticket holders plus a kid for free

I think £15 per ticket is reasonable, with £5 for concessions.

Kop. £15 adults, £5 kids.
Sides. £18 adults, £5 kids.

Guarantee a seat for a home tie in R5 @ no more than £20 (£10 kids) whoever the opposition might end up being OR discounted travel should it be away and you wish to use the coach.

Im in Barcelona on Saturday/Sunday so cant make it but would have paid £15 adult £6 kids

I'm one of that rare breed who doesn't have a Twitter account. But Jim's question seems to suggest that SUFC are willing to lower their prices in order to give the supporters a chance to see their team at affordable prices.
For what it's worth, anyone under 16 should be allowed in free. Adults should be allowed in for £12 regardless of where they sit. It's a one off, and something like this might be the moment a youngster becomes a Blade for life. Worth considering, and it would mean KM and the Prince would have to adopt long-term vision about the United they want to see in years to come. So Kevin, a little imagination might go a long way and prove that SUFC really are a family club.
Under 16s should have to regsister with the club (charge them a fiver) and that will make them eligable for further reductions and gets them on our DB.

I like the fiver for ST holders and kids and £10 for everyone else.

Free for junior Blades, quid a kid (U16) otherwise.

Fiver for ST holders, tenner for non-ST holders.

Or a tenner for all adults, but ST holders get a fiver off food/drink (no minimum spend) or two free proper drinks once you get inside (which if we were in charge of our own catering, would be more likely of happening!)

i told him up to £20 for adults and £12 kids as i can't see Fulham/Norwich agreeing to less.

A tenner and I will go.. any more and I think the Pub wins.

'tis indeed covered by FA Cup Rule 20 ..... (meaning if Fulham or Norwich are happy to reduce the price then it can be so. Suspect given KO time etc and the £160K they will be receiving for TV rights, they may accept at reduction)

c.Immediately after the draw is known, the two Clubs concerned must mutually agree the prices of admission subject to the following conditions:

i.Except where mutually agreed otherwise the minimum admission (except to children and senior citizens) to matches shall be:

In the Extra-Preliminary, Preliminary and First Round Qualifying: £3.00

In the Second and Third Rounds Qualifying: £5.00

In the Fourth Round Qualifying: £6.00

In the First and Second Round Proper: £10.00

In the Third, Fourth, Fifth and Sixth Round Proper: £15.00

ii.A higher admission charge may be mutually agreed between the Clubs concerned. The Away Club's spectators can only be charged more than the home team if agreed by both clubs.

£10 adults and £5 kids. And accompany the announcement with a joint statement from the owners.

Thanks for your unbelievable support at Villa. Thanks for your patience this season so far and sorry for past disappointments. We're working hard to make things better in the league, let's see how far we can go in the cup - turn up and raise the roof...for just £10adults £5 concessions

Someone noted that it's the weekend before pay day. As many people, including ST holders, are probably skint after Christmas, there won't be a lot of spare cash floating about in many households. The fact that it's on TV in the pub and no doubt the Internet will keep many people away.

If at all possible, a tenner for adults and a quid for a kid. This should apply to the away fans too. I like the idea of filling the stadium, but I doubt that we'd get more than 22-23k even at those prices. As low as we can get away with. It's not as though we're totally on the breadline right now, and a place in the 4th round would pay for the discounts.

£10 for adults
£5 for kids (under 16)

Season ticket holders already get their loyalty bonus in the shape of a discounted price for league matches covered by their season ticket. :p

Bayern Munich offer cheaper tickets for fans travelling to Arsenal
Bayern Munich will offer their fans cheaper tickets for the Champions League trip to Arsenal next month.

Champions Bayern said their fans would pay 45 euros (£37), rather than the 75 euros (£62) charged by the Gunners for the last-16 first leg tie.

“A large number of fans support Bayern not only at the high points but also at every away game”

Bayern Munich
"This is intended to represent a small thank you for the great support of the followers in the past calendar year 2013," said Bayern.

The club added the move will cost them around 90,000 euros (£74,000).

Ticket prices charged by Bundesliga clubs are cheaper than those in the Premier League.

Bayern charge home fans between 15 euros (£12) for a standing place and 70 euros (£58) for the most expensive seats at home matches in the Bundesliga, while tickets for the home leg of their Champions League tie against Arsenal on 19 February range from 35 euros (£29) to 100 euros (£82).

The German giants added: "Bayern has thrilled the world of European football not only by the outstanding performance and consistency of its team, but also by the fantastic and vocal support of its fans.

"It's particularly noteworthy that a large number of Bayern fans support the team not only at the high points but also at every away game.

"It should be clear to everyone that this loyalty involves a great deal of time and expense. Bayern have therefore decided to subsidise the tickets for the away game at Arsenal."

Bayer at it again. Didn't they refund everyone's season ticket the other year because they won the league so easily?

Think i might stay in the Hotel with the missus for our anniversary on the Saturday & get tickets for the match as well. So obviously the cheaper the better!
